| This kit is a reissue of an old Revell kit, and despite some
inaccuracies, the overall quality is good considering the time when the kit was made.
Revell captured the series 1 body accurately, except for the headlights.
The lenses are too thick, and rims are misshapen. The engine details
are well done, and all the major parts are included, but some of them need to be replaced
with scratchbuilt parts for better and more realistic appearance. The chassis and suspension details are adequate, but some
additional work will enhance the detail. The interior features both right and left
hand dashboard, and the details on the panel don't look realistic, so aftermarket gauge
decals are useful. The kit contains the hard top and luggage rack. Overall, this kit can be a good starter for those who wants to build a detailed model of the series 1 E-Type roadster. Revell/Monogram reissued the ex-Aurora's coupe kit, but the nose doesn't look right. Although some fitting work is necessary, the hood of this kit can be used to make a better coupe model in 1/25 scale. |
