The interior panels on the
windshield frame extend downward a little, and it was fabricated with a
styrene sheet as shown. I had to test-fit repeatedly test-fit until I could
find the right shape. The other side is a copy of the first one. |
 |
|
The rear view mirror support was made of a very small
brass rod, and it was painted with a chrome paint. |
 |
|
The door handles of the kit
(on the body in the picture) didn't look accurate, so they were scratchbuilt
by carving a piece of styrene sheet. |

|
These are in-progress wiper
assemblies. I tried to find a close match from my collection of photo-etched
parts, but I couldn't find any shot ones, so I ended up scratchbuilding
them. The arms were made from Modeler's wiper set (black), but they
were cut short, and the pivot parts (white) were made from a styrene block.

|
The base of the wiper was made
from a round styrene sheet, which was cut at a certain angle. The washer
nozzles are also styrene sheet, and so is the radio antenna. |
 |
|
|
The wiper assemblies were
painted with ModelMaster chrome, and were coated with Alcrad II chrome,
applied by a brush. The mirror face was also glued
to the support. |
 |

The turning markers and the brake lights were painted
with clear orange and clear red, and now the model is finished. More
photos can be found in the gallery section. |
