Revell 1/25
Jaguar XK-E
Work Resumed! |
After more than a few years of
blank, I restarted the project. This time I was determined to
finish. |

The brake and clutch
master cylinders were made of Evergreen styrene rod and pieces of
plastic sheet. The servo was also made of styrene, but the bellows was
made with vinyl wire wrapped around the styrene core.
The early series 1
E-type had individual master cylinder for the front and rear, and it
was linked to the brake pedal. The clutch master cylinder is
directly attached to the pedal box. |
From left to
right, the brake servo, the rear part of the brake master cylinders,
master cylinders and a cover, and the clutch master cylinder and the
pedal box. |
The scratchbuilt parts
were test fitted as shown. |
Moving on to the brakes,
the calipers are aftermarket parts, but they didn't look anything like
the Jaguar one, so I added the piston cover fabricated from a styrene
sheet. |
First, I made the
circular part, and it was glued to a large sheet of styrene for ease
of work. After glue dried, I trimmed the plastic to the desired shape. |
The caliper looks
somewhat like the Dunlop one. |
