| This is a reissue of
the old Revell kit, and despite some
inaccuracies, the overall quality is very good
for its age. Revell has captured the series 1 body accurately, except for
shape of the headlights. The lenses are too thick, and
the rings don't look right either. The engine
is detailed, and most of the other components are
included, but they need to be either
cleaned or replaced
with scratch-built parts for more realistic appearance.
The chassis and suspension details are adequate, but some additional
enhancements are needed. The kit includes both right and left
hand dashboard, and the details are dull, so they need to be
sanded off, and replaced with aftermarket gauge
decals and scratch-built switches.
Overall, this
kit is a good starter for those who
wish to build a detailed model of the Jaguar
E-type Series 1 Roadster in 1/25 scale.
Expect a lot of work, but it's fun.
