HAIKU

SPRING

• taller now, you stand / with whom will you share a glimpse / of the gentle spring sky?背も伸びた君誰と見る春の空
• tickle it just so / the young bud begins to uncurl / a green day beginsくすぐれば今にも開く木の芽かな
• blessings of blossoms / shower the baby's pram / a soft, pink confetti祝福の花ふりしきれ乳母車
• child grows past my height / like a dream in gentle spring / graceful moments pass子は背丈越しゆくものよ春の夢
• sunlight spills and spreads / eager children throng the slide / spring air, laughter threads滑り台並ぶ子増えて日脚伸ぶ
• canola blooms swing / wind's unending playful dance / joy that never fades菜の花や戯れ飽きぬ風といる
• eyes full of wonder / child turns pages, tales take flight / jpring breeze, aglow絵本読む童麗し風光る
• spring wind enfolds me / on verdant lawn, dreams whisper / together we rest春風と芝生の上の添い寝かな
• gentle zephyr’s touch / wrapped in warm sunlight’s embrace / spring’s joy awakens立春や和みはじめた陽に浴す

SUMMER

• summer festival / backstage, a parent's sweat shines, / jewels for the kids 夏祭裏方さんの汗の数
• long season of rain / even the words seem to blur / on a sweet child's book梅雨じめり絵本の字さえ滲むかな
• young leaves unfurl / a bond with the vast blue / the spring's hopeful pact青空と縁を結ぶ若葉かな
• zephyr of fresh summer / bright, graceful Kannon's touch / boundless mercy found初夏の風千手の慈悲のそよぎかな
• summer sun makes dark / white bottoms flash in sunshine - / day's glare, burning bright日焼して黒光る子や尻の白
• scorched futons unfold / summer's heat has baked them dry / warmth lingers, smoke's trace炎暑干す寝具は焦げた香のままで
• mirrored sky, azure / rice paddy, awaiting touch / hopes for harvest’s gold田植まで水青く待つ田んぼかな
• summer river gleams / young leaves dance on ripples' flow / Laughter's song echos夏の川みなもの緑ウフフフと
• empty my sakazuki / green leaves reflected within / Taste of early summer盃に若葉の美味を飲み干せり
• wearing bright yukata / you bring color to the crowd / Flowing with the stream浴衣着て君は彩り人の川

AUTUMN

• first chill of autumn / at midnight, a child's cough / breaks the silence新涼や夜半に咳きこむ子供かな
• the wind, a sweet guide / leads me to the fragrant olive / a secret of fall隠れても風が教える金木犀
• you stay in the room / I leave you to the stillness / the neighbor of winter病室に君取り残す冬隣
• On white plaster still, / a lone fly kneads its silent plea / as the last warmth dims. 白壁に何を拝みし残る蠅
• Spider silk is spun, / fragile moon, host not seen / autumn stillness pervades. 蜘蛛の巣や主の代わりの三日の月
• Child asleep on back- / autumn's breath, a double weight / peaceful evening shared.寝た子供秋のけはいとおぶりけり
• Heavy rice heads bow, / golden harvest whispers time / gentle breeze kisses.愛しげな風が愛でゆく稲穂かな
• Autumn’s sky so vast, / children’s hunger, insatiable / never saying, “Enough”天高し呆れる食い気の童かな
• Lost in the distance, / dusk falls, shadows gather 'round / autumn’s loneliness.影だけが連れ添うものよ秋の暮
• A cat on the wall, / watching evening’s hues unfold / mackerel sky drifts.塀の猫見上げ夕べの鰯雲

WINTER/NEW YEAR

• so close now, the spring / a child's brow furrows in sleep / against the morning sun春隣朝日に眉寄せ眠る子かな
• on the shrine's path / a camellia lights the way / a sacred winter lamp宮道や神灯ともし冬椿
• a round orange rests / a small sun in my palm / glowing against the coldお日様は手のひらにあり丸蜜柑
• Shoulders stiff with strain, / As year-end tasks now consume— / December's relentless surge.肩も凝り仕事積もりて師走かな
• Ruby dawn bleeds light, / Ice fangs erupt from hoary ground, / Air, a razor's edge.暁に研ぐ牙鋭き霜柱
• Wave-lashed winter dark, / Lighthouse beam surrenders now- / Sea’s icy, thunderous roar.灯台の灯もついぞ絶え冬怒濤
• Numbed by winter’s chill, / Mother’s dream, sorrow’s embrace, / Waken, heart in pain.亡き母の夢まだ凍むや目覚め時
• Year-end gathering, / Bittersweet memories linger, / Farewell’s gentle cheer.忘れ得ぬことを語らい年忘れ
• My call fades, unheard, / Child snug in futon’s warm hold, / Frosty winter morning.起きぬ子や声かけ続け寒き朝
• At the crowded station, / Perfume wakes me from New Year’s / Air, workday begins.人込みに香水を嗅ぐ初仕事

• a love as endless / as the waves that break on you / on this sunlit shore, / my hand finds yours / among the bindweed blooms愛しさは波の数だけ君に寄す浜昼顔咲く浜に手を引く
• Your smile—a bright magic— / and I surrender, / lost inside your spell. / My heart, a small bird, / beats against its cage.微笑みはあなたの魔法あっけなく僕はかかるよ胸が高鳴る
• One small step begins / a road that had no ending. / The regrets and fears, / those stones that once burdened me, / are now dust upon the wind.踏み出した小さな一歩が道となる始めた悔いは遠く置き去る
• At the station's hush, / A spirit, touched by wine's caress, / Unfurls a heart's plea; / Though frail the melody's flight, / Its pure yearning reaches hearts.夜の駅　酔い人歌う恋の歌下手でも会いたい気持ち伝わる

• Countless gentle songs / Like friends gathering near me, / Each brings strength anew— / Through our days flow joyful scenes, / Life's rich tapestry unfolds.口ずさむ数多の歌に励まされ日々の暮しを希望と織りなす
• Cloudless sky, in depth, / Red dragonflies in formation, / Like silent bombers, / Scattering loneliness down, / Colored in the hushed autumn.澄んだ空編隊を組み赤とんぼ寂寞落とす爆撃機のよう
• “Look, look,” he shouts out, / With a charming, excited wink, / Steps forward, eyes closed tight, / My son, my joy, well done, / Your presence always brightens my day.見て見てとウインクしながら近寄る子両目を閉じて得意顔する
• Your voice, a gentle tune / Each word, a tender note / A joyful symphony / Your laughter, a bright chorus / Rings in the depths of my heart音楽のようで　あなたの話し声　僕だけ聞ける　飽きない独奏
