The monocock and engine assembly was joined as shown. It
sustains its own weight without the under tray just like the real car. The next task
is to add the radiators, pipes and electrical wiring. |
The
working front shock absorbers are shown. It needs some minor adjustments to align
the suspension arms and tires correctly. The cylinders and reservoir tanks for the
brakes and clutch will be added later. |
Although
the body appeared complete, it had been suffering from numerous scratches and cracks.
Those cracks became so noticeable, so I finally decided to redo the body, and cast the
parts to make another body.

I made the body too thin, and paint warped the body a little.
Since the Torrance was so tight, it no longer fits the chassis and under tray. So,
I bent and broke both sides to ease the tension while maintaining the overall shape.
Will it recover the smoothness and sheen again...? |
