The kit contains parts for a differential
 

All parts are made with plastic, and I was skeptical about the strenght of the plastic pin, so I replaced it with a brass rod.

 

Once all parts are put together, and lublicant is applied, the parts fit in the gear box neatly, and the differnetial works as it should.

It's a shame that the CV joint of the rear car doesn't look anything like the kit parts. I'm tempted to leave this working drive axle as is, but I'll probably have to make my own. Shape of the gearbox doesn't look too bad, but lacks details, so I'll have to add some myself.
