About the Real Car |
The Skyline GT-R has been know as the best performance vehicle of Japan
since the name "GT-R" was resurrected in 1989. Twin turbo, variable torque
all wheel drive and all wheel steering are some of the features that makes the GT-R
special, and they were passed on to the R33 and the R34. As far as I know, the car
is only available in Japan and UK, but rumor says that it is expected to be available for
the first time in North America through the Infinity dealers. |
About the Kit |
The kit is a typical Tamiya curbside model, so it has no engine, but the
engine parts in their R32 Skyline GT-R kit can be used to make a detailed R34 model. The
front suspension is composed of nine pieces, while the complicated rear suspension is
represented by ten parts. The front and rear under panels are represented by clear
parts. The wheels are satin plated, but the real wheels look much darker, so they
have to be painted. The tires are accurate Bridgestone Potenza RE040 245/40ZR18,
designed exclusively for the GT-R.
