Dodge Viper Roadster

I was very impressed by the quality of this snapper when it was released.   Revell set a new standard of snap kit with the release of this detailed Viper kit at that time, and I liked the concept.  The kit doesn't require messy tapes for the test fit, and it can be put together easily, which is beneficial to the experienced modelers also. The kit includes a good looking V10 engine. 

The kit was built as a factory stock, so some additional details were added, for example throttle cables and the heater hoses.  Since I wanted the front wheels to be posable, I modified the steering linkage.

The paint I used was custom mixed Pactora's waterbase acrylic, and Testors gloss coat was used as usual. 

The model was brought to a local hobby store in Tokyo when I went home, and sold at 20,000 yen with an AMT display case.  It drew many people's attention because the kit was not available through the official importer at that time.
