Next, I will introduce other small lives in this everglade. The smallest dragonfly is "Haccho Tombo" and the biggest one is "Oni-Yamma". "Oni" means "Strong and Big one like Monster". When I visited this everglade at 5 o'clock, "Oni-Yamma" has just put off its previous suit. Lavae of "Haccho Tombo" might be eaten by the lavae of "Pni-Yamma". The only way for them to survive is to produce eggs as many as possible, like sardines in the sea.

"Moriaogaeru" is one of curious frong in Japan. Unlike other frog, they don't live in the water, but live on the tree. They give egges on the branch over water, like pond, everglade or water rice field. Next, I will introduce this frog.

When I visited this everglade during rainy season, I found adhesive white substances stick to the branches over the water. This is the eggs of "Moriao-Gaeru". "Mori", "Ao" and "Gaeru" means "forest", "blue" and "frog", respectively. In fact, this frog's color is rather green. Some eggs were dropped on the ground. Maybe, this was done by fog, because I found the trace of him on the ground.

Two weeks after I saw the eggs, I found that kids of frog swam in the water. Usually, kids of them are eaten by salamanders, but fortunately, this everglade was too shallow for salamanders to live in. This everglade is the best place for the frog to live in.

In the summer, the situation changes very much in this everglade. "Drosera rotundifolia" has gone already and

"Haccho Tombo" can be seen rarely. "Oni-Yamma" patrols its territory. Many of "Ooshiokara Tombo" can be seen around the everglade. Several years ago, "Shiokara Tombo" a smaller size of "Ooshiokara Tombo", was more familier in my understanding, but now "Ooshiokara Tombo" is seen everywhere in Japan. Male Ooshiokara Tombo is observing his territory, especially taking care of females, from the top of a tree.
