Hard to believe that a year has gone by with no progress on this room! No excuse ... but certainly a good reason ... busy making beautiful prints!

Combination of things got me busy down here this morning: I'm waiting for my supplier to send me a block to use for the next print, which leaves me with a bit of 'time on my hands', but also it was the end of the rainy season yesterday, and it is now blistering hot dry weather. This seasonal progression has of course made me think about the next seasonal change coming up - and there is no way that I want to spend yet another winter trying to work in that freezing cold room upstairs! So let's get with it down here ...

Hard to remember where I left off, but I think the next logical place to work is the bay window area that will become the printing platform.

The floor is far from level here, as this is partly inside, partly 'outside' (the original balcony area), so I have to start by creating a level foundation of 2x4s. That went down pretty quickly, so the next step was to put in place the half-round plastic pipes connecting the vents on the back wall with the outlets on the front wall. Digging out and levelling a shallow channel in the concrete more than made up for the easy job with the woodwork ...

Each pipe comes through semi-circles cut in the wood, and connects to the outlets.
