Front view of the Italeri kit.(Test fit)

Up to this part of test fitting can be done without using glue.  The kit captures the characteristics of the actual car well.  As you can see, the front bumper and fascia is different from the US version, and they have to be modified accordingly.

Rear view of the Italeri kit.(Test fit)

The rear of the car looks good, except the rear end of the body just under the spoiler isn't steep enough, so it has to be modified.  (It's too steep that sometimes it's difficult to insert the key when opening the hatch.)

Engine room of the Italeri kit.

The engine room consists of four parts, top half, intake assembly, washer fluid reservoir and the radiator.  It can be detailed by using the parts included in the kit, but I feel better if I put together a separate engine parts.  Although the kit is supposed to be 944S, the actual parts are the same as the Turbo's.

As you can see, the S version features double overhead cam, and the intake manifold look different, too.  The parts from Hasegawa kit will be used, but it's also the Turbo version, so the cylinder head and the cam cover have to be scratchbuilt.  The radiator reservoir of the kit, seems too small also.
