     Huh? Decal application already?
Yes, the basic procedures of preparing and painting the body is the same as that of the Corvette C5. After the seams were carefully removed, Gunze gray primer and Dupli-Color white primer were used. Then Dupli-Color white was sprayed as the body color. After several coats of white were applied, the surface was smoothened with 3200 grid paper, then it was polished with Tamiya Polishing Compound.

After painting has done, the fun part begins: decal application. Here's how I do it usually. After placing a decal, I put a Q-tip near the center to fix the decal. Then I roll the Q-tip in radial direction from the center to let both air bubbles and excess water out. This way, the decal dries in a minute or so, and it won't move even if I accidentally touch it. Once the decal is set, I use the other side of Q-tip to rub the surface gently to help it dry.

I didn't count how many decals I applied, but there were many. Once application was done, several layers of clear coat were sprayed. I used my airbrush to spray Gunze Sangyo's lacquer base acrylic No. 155 super clear.

While waiting for the paint to dry, I assembled the engine, transmission and suspension. Assembly was straightforward and the parts were very easy to put together. No additional work was done because the kit is intended to be a box stock model.

After interior was complete, the body was glued onto the chassis, and all the small pieces were attached.  Epoxy glue was used for the windshield light lenses, and plexi glasses.

Gunze and Tamiya's "clear red" and "clear orange" were used for the markers and rear garnish.

Finally, the antenna was made from the tree as shown in the instruction sheet, and the kit was complete.
