Next and the last
step of detailing the engine compartment is the bulkhead.
The throttle linkages were
made from various materials.
The white pieces are
strene, the rods are brass, and the black pieces are vinyl tube.
The E-type series 1 has three
hydraulic reservoir tanks, and they were made from various sizes of styrene
rod. The sensor cords were also made from electrical wires.
The tanks and caps were
painted white and black, and they were glued to the bulkhead.
The hydraulic system is
finished. It's a shame that the master cylinder will be hidden under the air
intake chamber.
The headers are basically the
kit parts, but the bolt-heads are made by slicing a hex rod.
This heater water control tap
was made from styrene rod and vinyl pipe. The mounting block was also made
from plastic sheet.
From left to right, the
finished water control tap, windshield washer tank and the heater case.
The three parts shown in the
picture above were installed. The added control tap improved the appearance
of the bulkhead a lot.
Also, the electrical wires
from the battery and the breather hose was added.
