| Racing On is one of two major bi-weekly magazines, which specialize in motor sports around the world. I used to subscribe to this while I was in the U.S. It has quality color photos, and in depth articles about race cars and the drivers. This magazine, and its rival publication Autosport are probably the only references for the Japanese GT cars, such as NSX, Supra, Diablo GT1 and Boxster GT. | |||

| The vol.1 of WRC 2000 covers the major cars such as Mitsubishi Lancer, Subaru Impreza, Ford Focus, Peugeot 206, Seat Cordoba and Hyundai Accent and Skoda Octavia. Three to five pages are used for each cars, and it includes engine, cockpit, front and rear suspension photos. The first two rounds are covered, and it has many color photos. It also includes the history of TTE in WRC. This issue will have a great value once the 2000 cars are available. | |||

| The vol.2 of WRC 2000 covers from round 3 to round 7, and it includes so many informative photos. Seven photos of the Impreza WRC2000 will definitely be good reference for model making if a kit comes out, but it doesn't have as many close up photos as F1 Modeling Magazine or Rally Sprit. This is a good reference for the exterior of the major WRC cars, but not quite useful for super detailing. | |||

| The vol.3 of WRC 2000 covers the
round 7, 8 and 9, and it has some close up photos of the WRC 2000
cars. Three cockpit photos of the Peugeot 206, and the cockpit and
front suspension of the Lancer Evolution Gr.A are useful for detail conscious
modelers. The article about visiting the Ford factory is
interesting, but there aren't many photos of the car itself.
The center page poster is the cockpit of the Ford Focus WRC2000, and it
even shows the carbon fiber pattern of the panels used on the
dashboard. Flashback article is about the Audi Quattro, and the
vehicle specifications of the Gr.A, A1, A2, Sport Quattro and Sport
Quattro S1 are listed, but there are not so many detailed pictures to help
modelers build a model.
Tamiya's going to release the 2000 version of the Peugeot (due Oct.25th), so some of the WRC 2000 issues will be useful. Also, Hasegawa will release an all new Lancia 037 kit. |

| In general, Japanese Magazines can be purchased through Japanese book
stores around the world. In the U.S., Kinokuniya and Asahiya are
reliable book chains. The clerks don't necessarily speak English
well, so be patient.
