1999年4月に母と二人でハワイへ行ってきました。母にとっては始めての海外旅行で、71歳にして始めてパスポートを取得したり、7時間も飛行機に乗ったりと、疲れながらも楽しんでくれたようです。そのオアフ島沖から撮った写真を見ながら描いていました。気に入った色が出せないで困っていたようです。

Silence

In April 1999, my mother and I stayed one week in Hawaii. For my mother, it was her first trip of overseas country. She didn't have her passport until her 71 years old, and had an experience to sit for 7 hours in an airplane. She was tired, but might have enjoyed. This was painted using a photo which had been taken at the coast of Oafu. She had a difficulty to make her colors.
