Okay, here we go with the final few plywood panels; the wall is now structurally finished.

I got a note the other day from somebody who has been following these process photos, but who was somewhat confused about just where this room is in my home. So I went across to the other side of the river and took a shot looking back over at my place ...

Now do you get the idea? It's all happening in what is becoming known as 'B2' - the second basement. Once this room is all done, I'll start to give serious consideration to what to do with B1, the high-ceiling room on the next level up. Then when that's done ... it'll be time to clear away the shoddy little house up top and build something more solid.

But for now, work continues downstairs. After finishing the sheathing this morning, I tacked on the Tyvek 'house wrap'.

And just to save you the trouble of writing to let me know about the mistake I made with this stuff, no I didn't put it on 'inside out', this is a roll of 'no printing' Tyvek sheet; it's blank white on both sides. :-)

So we're all ready for the windows! Problem is though, I can't possibly do that by myself; I can't even lift one of them up, let alone carry it all the way down to B2, and hoist it up into place. I'll have to round up some friends for this ... not sure exactly when it will happen ...
