Review |
I didn't know if this kit is in production or
not, so I purchased it while I was able to. The kit says that the parts were made in
Japan, so I was expecting one of those older kit with a motor. The chassis does have
a housing to accommodate a motor, but the kit is very detailed, and it features complete
engine, drive train and suspension details that can be displayed separately. The
hood, rear hatch and doors are separate as shown in the picture. The kit looks a lot
like one of Otaki kits, but I'm not sure.
 | The body looks good, but fitting of the door, hood and rear hatch requires some
caution. The headlight can be fixed in either up or down position, and it shouldn't
be so difficult to make it movable by adding hinges. The front and rear spoilers are
included to represent the S version. |
 | The chassis features good looking, but somewhat simplified suspension details. The
kit includes two kinds of wheels for the base model and the S. The brake disk is
included, but has no details talk about. |
 | There're as many engine parts as typical American kits, and it looks very good.
The kit comes with vinyl tubes for oil hoses and ignition wires. |
 | The interior is very well done, and features 3D details of the early 928. Two
steering wheels are included to build either the base model or S version. From the
instruction, the seats back appears to be movable, but it will probably better to glue
together. |
 | Overall, I was very very pleased with this kit. This can be used to detail
Fujimi's curbside 928 models, so I think I'll go and buy another few. |
Heller makes the 928S4, so I will be posting a review of it some time
later. |
