The body seems accurate, and the part is cleanly cast, but there are some
rough areas that have to be smoothed before the application of primer. |
The body part captures the dynamic shape
of the 98 version well, and panel lines are sharply carved. But again, the entire
body needs sanding because of some rough areas, especially behind the front wheel. |
The tail appears alright, but the fins
on the side of the tail look dull, and need to be sharpened a little. |
One piece vacuum formed windshield is glued from the inside, and it fits
fairly well. The other piece includes the light covers. Semi transparent resin
parts are provided to represent the light lenses, but it would probably be better to
replace them with Modeler's lens set. |
The kit has significantly less metal
parts compared to the R390 98LM kit, but enough parts
are included to make the interior and exterior look good. The strut of the rear view
mirror wrong because it's too short, so the parts have to be corrected to accurately
represent the 98 version. |
PE parts included in the kit are the wiper arm and blade, winglets, towing
hook, cowl fasteners, extinguisher pin, fuel filler nozzles, front intake screen and
diffuser panels. Other miscellaneous parts included in the kit are shafts, screws
and antenna. |
The tires and wheels are identical to
that of the R390. The surface of the wheels, included in the kit I bought, is a
little rough, but it can be polished easily. On the other hand, the connection to
the tree that are left on the tires has to be thoroughly cleaned. |
