Picture 1.1
|
Picture 1.1 shows the front perspective view of the
body. The plates that cover the front suspension are separate, which
makes removal of the front cowl easy. The end piece of the roof
inlet is separate, as well as the side louvers. |

Picture 1.2
|
Picture 1.2 shows the side of the body parts. Tamiya captured this unique body very well.
The body part is very fragile, so you must use extreme caution when sanding and polishing. |

Picture 1.3
|
The rear cowl of the TS020 almost makes you
visualize the airflow on the body. Picture 1.3 shows the rear cowl of the
kit, and Tamiya captured the design so well. Tamiya fully employs CAD/CAM
engineering, but it doesn't lose an organic contour of the Toyota. |

Picture 1.4
|
Picture 1.4 shows the under side of the
monocock, and it shows an F-1 like suspension design and under
body treatment. The top of the monocock is open, and if you intend
to make the front cowl removable, it needs to be filled, and complete the
front section .

Picture 1.5
|
The engine and transmission parts are fairly
detailed as usual for Tamiya, and it will be built to a realistic
model. Most of the duct to and from the turbo units are
included. The instruction of the engine assembly made me think that
it's going to be a 3D puzzle. |

Picture 1.6
|
The wheels seem to be a little oversized to fit the
existing rubber tires, but it looks better when they are fitted to the
body. The instruction sheet says it has to be painted gross black, but I think
X-18 semi gross is more appropriate. |

Picture 1.7
|
The chrome tree includes the piping for intake
manifold, turbot, intercooler, and exhaust. The tree looks more complete
than Tamiya's own Group C car kits. The fuel lines are molded
between the air intake manifold piece. |

Picture 1.8
|
Picture 1.8 shows the remaining white
parts. It's mainly consists of the small body panels, winglets,
interior details, and good looking brake rotor/caliper assembly. The
console panels feature fairly detailed switches and dials, but it can be
enhanced by adding some photo etched switches. |

Picture 1.9
|
Picture 1.9 shows the clear three. The windshield
is a one piece part as shown, and it's smooth and even so it doesn't
distort the interior details. The head light covers seem a little
thick, and it might be better using them for vacuum forming molds.
All lenses are clear. |

Picture 1.10
|
Tamiya included this masking sheet for the
body for the first time. It appears to be the same material as one of those windshield masking sheet.
I would use Bare Metal for masking, so
personally, I don't need this sheet. |
