Welcome to Yasuo Hashimoto's Home page!
Self introduction
Hello! My name is Yasuo Hashimoto.
I'm now the director of the International Affairs Division of the Hiroshima
Prefectural Government.
Before I was appointed to my current position, I was a professor at the
Community Cooperation Center of the Hiroshima University (HU). I was promoting
collaboration between the university and society since I was recruited
on 1 Jan. 2001 by HU. After four year and three month at Hiroshima University,
I decided to resign on 31 March 2005 and re-join the Hiroshima Prefecural
Government to challenge new jobs in society.
Before I joined the university, I had been working for the Hiroshima Prefecture
Government for 24 years and 9 months. I have experience working in various
fields in local government, such as airport planning, human resource development,
industrial development, international cooperation, community medical care
and so on.
Also during this period, I was sent to the one of the largest trading companies
in Japan to learn the way of business in private sector, and was appointed
as the Director of the Hiroshima Representative Office in Singapore (HIROS)
from 1991 to 1994. I was also appointed as the Director of the General
Affairs Division of the Hiroshima International Center.
I've been supporting student exchange program between Singapore and Hiroshima
as the member of the planning committee of the Hiroshima Singapore Association
(HSA), which was established in 1995.
Please feel free to contact me. I would be happy to be of any help for you.
