Welcome to My Little Corner of Japan

This website is a personal project created out of pure love for my hometown — Yokosuka, a city tucked along the coast of the Miura Peninsula in Kanagawa Prefecture.

Yokosuka sits between two of Japan's most famous destinations: Yokohama (a major port city) to the north, and Kamakura (famous for its Great Buddha and temples) to the west. Yet Yokosuka itself remains one of Japan's best-kept secrets among international travelers.

Just about an hour from Tokyo, this city of roughly 365,000 people carries a history far deeper than its size might suggest. With an area of about 100 km², it's compact enough to explore in a single day — and I hope this site inspires you to make it one of them.

Here you'll find stories about local scenery and history, reflections on Japanese culture and ways of thinking, and my personal takes on anime and novels I love. If you're someone who's drawn to Japan, I'd be truly happy to have you along.

このホームページは個人の趣味として作成しています。神奈川県・三浦半島に位置する 地元・横須賀の風景や歴史を、広く海外の方に知っていただきたいという思いから始めました。

横須賀は北に横浜（主要な港湾都市）、西に鎌倉（大仏や寺院で有名）という恵まれた場所に 位置しながら、外国人旅行者にはまだあまり知られていない隠れた名所です。 東京から約1時間、人口約36万人・面積約100㎢のこの街は、歴史も深く、1日あれば十分に楽しめます。

また、日本の考え方・文化や、好きなアニメ・小説についても語っていきます。 日本のことが好きな方に、ぜひ見ていただけたら嬉しいです。
