Yakushima


The Mountains located center of Yakushima are called Okudake which means hide mouteins.The peakes of these mountains are less 2000m sea level.
The highest peake is Miytanourea dake,however this peak is most easy to climb.To use the forest road from Yakusugi Park,this peak is able to reach in a day.
There are some routes from various start point.Most uncluttered trail is okabu hodo which starts at Anbo forest road.This route is popular for seeing old ceder trees.The oldest tree called Jomonsugi which age is 7200 years stands along the trial. Near this tree a Takatukagoya mountain hat is usable.From the hat,climb to Mt. Miyanouara dake takes about one day which include time needed for desending to forest road.
