Picnic on the hill side of Shibusawa

On April 19, 2003, Mr. & Mrs. Greenwood enjoyed walking on the hill of Shibusawa with their friend.

Blue Route

 They started walking from Shibusawa station at 10:00. First they visited cherry tree forest of Sen village where cherry blossom were cultivated and pickled for food production. From the hill top they could see Tanzawa mountains including, Mt. Ohoyama, Mt. Ninoto and Mt. Sanoto. Mt. Tonotake was invisible because of clouds.

After cherry woods, they went to east through forest of young Japanese oak

They took lunch on the hill side overlooking the City of Hadano. After walking though country side they have arrived at the Lake of Shinsei which was formed in 1923 by strong earthquakes.

They have walked over 6 hours and 18,000 steps and finally arrive at Hadano station.
