E-mail button icon used in the top page is a home made gif animation of sailing boat crossing the window of Mr. Greenwood's home. He draw 3 layers of drawings with PowerPoint. Those are window frame with curtain, sailing boat and background sea and sky. He moved boat only and made 30 composite gif images for each movement. Gif Animator did the rest of the work.
A photograph used in the top page is taken from the terrace of Mr. Greenwood. Following animation was made assuming that the camera jump up to the height of 7,244 from the ground. 3D images of the Miura peninsula was made by Casimir 3D using digitaized data of Geographical Survey Institute of Japan.
The conference logo made for IPMC2001 was also made by Mr. Greenwood. He draw 18 rotating pyramids with PowerPoint. Drawing 3 dimensional pictures with only PowerPoint needed skill.
One day in 2002 Nikkei Shinbun paper introduced a very old motion picture of snakes which was made probably a couple of hundred years ago. A viewer watches mirror images of snakes through 16 slits made at the peripheral of a rotating disk.Mr. Greenwood scanned the photograph and rotated it by Gif Animator.
