Foreword

Cyber space is a good thing. In fact, it was thanks to this medium that the IRA members reunited again after more than a decade-long separation. The first E-mail exchanges were awkward, but it didn't take long for the "brothers" to get comfortable. The following is a compilation of those conversations, artistically crafted by the Band's multi-talented drummer, Jun Honda.
The reader will notice a quick change of "tone", and as more and more four-letter words appear in the text, he/she will undeniably feel the Band members connecting once again.
As the "missing" founding member, I was the last to "find my way home"... but with the inevitable World Tour around the corner, I'll be the first to assure the world that the IRA hasn't played their last disastrous gig yet.
So read on IRA fan, read on and cherish the reunion of the world's greatest unknown band. Someday, somewhere, somehow, we'll be hitting your town and reclaiming the airwaves... and when that day comes, you can tell your friends that you read all about it in the IRA's Cyber Bar.

Psyche The IRA was not only keen on exploring the outer limits of music composition/performance... they also tested their own limits through a series of grueling experiments. This particular page deals with the Band's recollection of those "experiments".
The following are excerpts from a number of E-mails that the members exchanged in the last months since the "cyber-reunion". These excerpts were then patiently edited and compiled by the Band's drummer/historian/chauffeur -- Jun Honda.
The reader should keep in mind not only the age of the participants, but also the total non-existence of any limitations regarding drinking age in Brazil circa 1982.
As lead guitarist/rehearsal-space-provider/spokesperson for the Band, I strongly recommend this page to anybody wishing to get closer to the Band's mystique. This is essential reading, and an introspective look into the IRA's legacy... oh, and it's pretty funny too!

3. "Funny telephone conversation"

This is an excerpt of a conversation between Andrea and a Brazilian guy who put an advertisement on Primeira-m‹o, a magazine for buying/selling of second-hand goods. Andrea pretended to be an American poor at Portuguese trying to buy a stereo set from this guy.

4. "ERA of IRA: bibliography part I"

IRA started off as a bunch of amateurs without the slightest knowlege of how to handle their instruments. This long story depicts the process of how they purchased their own instruments.
How they decided to perform at the annual talent show (how badly they did that) and how they got new members will be described in part II, which is at the moment "under construction".
