I stumbled onto this page by accident, desperately seeking help when I suddenly lost my best friend,my mother.Your words touched me more closely than any self help psycobabble could. THANK YOU,for having the courage to put such tumultuous feelings into words, and for doing so because you knew you could change the lives of others.I am not even close to healing, since my loss is incredibly recent, but with your words of wisdom,I feel like I will make it.Thank you again.

Hello, I was browsing through many sites to collect beautiful phrases when I found yours. Your phrases are really beautiful - the touching effect is so potent. I wonder how you could recover from your sadness by writing such phrases. I believe it helps, but maybe I just don't understand how.

P.S. Read the Bible, it helps a lot.

Take care God Bless!

Thank you for your lovely page. My husband died 5 years ago and it was very painful. Like you, music and literature helped me heal. I agree that at some point one has to ask- are the tears for the one who is gone, or for oneself? It is important to acknowledge the pain and then to move past it without forgetting those whom we love.

I LOST MY WONDERFUL HUSBAND AND BEST FRIEND ON FEBRUARY 6, 2002. WE WOULD HAVE BEEN MARRIED 33 YEARS ON THE 18TH OF FEBRUARY. YOU DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH YOUR PHRASES MEANT TO ME AND I SAW MYSELF IN SO MANY PHRASES. MY HUSBAND HAD MESOTHELIOMA, A RARE FORM OF LUNG CANCER THAT ATTACKS THE PLEURAL LINING OF THE LUNGS. IT IS THOUGHT THIS IS CAUSED BY EXPOSURE TO ASBESTOS AND IT TAKES 35 TO 40 YEARS TO BE EVIDENT. WHAT IS MISS MOST ARE THE HOLIDAYS. SO FAR, WE HAVE MISSED VALENTINE'S DAY, OUR ANNIVERSARY, MY BIRTHDAY, MEMORIAL DAY, MOTHERS DAY AND FATHERS DAY AND FOURTH OF JULY. SINCE I HAVE READ YOUR WONDERFUL PHRASES, I NOW HAVE HOPE THAT I WILL OVERCOME THIS DREADFUL LONELINESS. MY BEDRIDDEN MOTHER HAS LIVED WITH US SINCE 1986, AND IF IT WEREN'T FOR HER, I FIND IT WOULD BE TERRIBLY EASY TO JUST STAY IN THE BED ALL THE TIME. THE DEPRESSION HAS SET IN BIGTIME. MY DOCTOR SAID HE COULD GIVE ME ALL THE ANTIDEPRESSANTS IN THE WORLD, BUT ONLY TIME WILL HELP. I BELIEVE HIM. I HAVE DOGS, CATS AND PARROTS. I TAKE CARE OF THEM ALSO. I HAVE A HARD TIME DOING HOUSEWORK, AND I DON'T KNOW WHY. IT SEEMS LIKE I AM LAZY AND I'VE NEVER BEEN LIKE THIS BEFORE. GUESS I JUST HAVEN'T GIVEN MYSELF ENOUGH TIME. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR INVITING ME TO GIVE MY COMMENTS. AND THANK YOU AGAIN FOR THE BEAUTIFUL PHRASES.

Dear Kei: ever since my dearest mother passed away I had been in a deep grief and never recovered from self-blaming and losing the purpose of live---for almost ten years until I read your writing! That was 1997 or 98 when I tried to search something in internet for comforting one of my friend who suddenly lost his wife at his early 40's with a 5 year-old girl. I sent your "100 phrases" (that time only 85 something) to my friend and I read it that night by myself with pouring tears. You "phrases" so powerfully helped clear my mind about many-year's confusion, illusion, emotional depression, numbness about life which all stemmed from my mother's death. Many of my friends tried to comfort me for that and they all virtually failed because they did not really understand the pain I had experienced--- the loss I had was irreplaceable and the time would not really heal the wound in my heart. Your "phrases" guided me to view my mother's death in a whole new way--that really make sense to me and was truly healing! Since then, I have shared your "phrase" with my close friends who lost their loved one when I don't know how to comfort them. They all really appreciated it and thought it was very helpful. Some of them expressed that they would like to pass it to those who are in the similar situation.

Today, again, when one of my best friend called me about her loss of her father, I got online and hoped to find your website again. Surprisingly I found that you not only upgraded your website with the complete 100 phrases and beautiful design, but also has a place to let me express my indescribable gratitude for your truly wonderful and thoughtful website, that gives me and a lot of people huge comfort and encouragement to relive with the pain of losing their loved one. Your "phrases" really means SO SO much to me! Thank you so very much!
