Getting to Narromine

If you come from overseas it is best to take an international flight to Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport.
Once you have arrived in Sydney and cleared all customs formalities you have three choices to get to Narromine:

1. Via Dubbo airport by domestic airline,
the fastest and most convenient way

2. By train or bus

3. By rent a car


1. Getting to Narromine via Dubbo airport by domestic airline


After clearing customs and collecting your baggage at Sydney International Airport proceed
to the domestic airlines check-in desks.
The flight to Dubbo takes about one hour. Twe airlines fly to Dubbo.
Qantas  and Rex (Regional Express)


The Domestic Terminal is on the opposite side of the International Terminal and can only be reached by bus, taxi or train.
On arrival at the Domestic Terminal go to your departure gate for your flight to Dubbo.

Qantas Airline:

After check-in proceed to the airline's free shuttle bus services which will take you to the Domestic Terminal.


DUBBO AIRPORT:
After you have arrived in Dubbo it is only a 30-minute car drive to Narromine.
Dubbo is 40 kilometres east of Narromine.
You can take a taxi from a Dubbo Taxi Company, which costs around A$105.00.

2.Getting to Narromine by train or bus



The cheapest way to come to Narromine is by train or bus.
One train per day travels from Sydney Central Station to Narromine Railway Station via Dubbo.
The train takes 7½ hours.
The train drives through the magnificent Blue Mountains is one of Australia's most famous scenic tourist sites.
Once you have arrived in Dubbo you get transferred to a bus which brings you to the historic railway station at Narromine.

3. Getting to Narromine by rent-a-car


If you prefer to incorporate some sightseeing in your visit to Australia why not take a
rent-a-car and drive from Sydney to Narromine.

The drive itself takes about five to six hours for 440 kilometres. This may sound slow but Australia's
highways have  mostly only one lane, taking over is often difficult and many speed limits apply as the
highways lead through several towns.
From Sydney Airport you drive onto the Western Highway, which will take you
via Parramatta and Penrith to the Blue Mountains.
The Blue Mountains are a spectacular tourist site with beautiful landscape scenery and fantastic bushwalks.
After you have passed the Blue Mountains the way goes through Lithgow, Bathurst,
Orange, Molong and Wellington to Dubbo. From Dubbo you drive in the  direction of Nyngan to Narromine.
