A Plan for the Long March to the Ideal World

 

----as a first step toward it

 

 

 

In anticipation of the coming upheavals of the near future, I would like to propose a plan to create the ideal world using this global turning point we human beings now face.

At this turning point, as each arrives at one of the two poles such as "rich or poor," "foolish or wise," and so on, so the nature of the soul will as well come to differentiate between "beautiful" and“ugly" very clearly. For the purpose of human survival, I am going to offer a strategy in which the huge power produced between the two poles will be conducted in the direction where we can make good use of it to create a "utopia."

That is to say, without being deceived by the illusion stemming from the distinction between "friend and enemy," we should co-operate with people no matter who they might be so long as a joint struggle is made possible, And as for those who will lead us to catastrophe, we should make good use of their energy as well. In this way, from a general and systematic view point, we need to prepare now for the approaching crisis in order to survive it.

To begin with, let us analyze the situation of the world today. Then, taking this into consideration, let's try to find the way to attain the ideal world.

 

1. Survey on the Present World Situation

In the prevailing huge wave of "capitalistic theory" and "higher productivity" stirred by material desire throughout the world, nature on Earth is being destroyed and we human beings are being forced to stand on the brink of catastrophe. Our native communities, which have supported our life, also go on disappearing very quickly.

Everything is organized very rationally and handled automatically by human brains, because everything is seen as a mere object for business (that is, a slave) in this vast wave that is produced by the insatiable desire for money, power, fame, and so on.

The bigger the wave becomes and the more it comes to surpress the impression of our vital life, The deeper becomes the loneliness of each soul. For that very reason, the will to restore oneself or to take back our vital impression will be sure to revive very strongly. And it will erupt by chance as if it were a volcano supposed to have been dormant.

That is, in this critical period of today when we human beings are about to be swallowed up by the wave and threatened with extinction, the power of the vital life itself becomes all the stronger. So, if we succeed in provoking the eruption at this turning point by seizing the opportunity, we can stop the ever growing wave from swallowing us up, and emancipate our vital life from material desire. We will then be able to save all the souls on Earth.

 

2. The Ideal Society ( "Utopia" )

I must mention the ideal society we are to seek and attain in this degenerate world.

We should never look for it far from ourselves. It can be created around the place where we were born or we live now. In short, so long as we are given space for utopia to take root in, it doesn't matter where it is. For it is not a matter of place, but of attitude.

I will show you later why the ideal society should take such a form as described below. But for the time being, I would like to say in brief that it has to be an embodiment of the universal spirit, that is, "Tao." This is because life itself is struggling to develop itself in accordance with this "Tao," and all the souls are trying to co-exist and help one another so that they themselves can bloom together.

Therefore, as we human beings are one phenomenon in the universal life, living a harmonious life in a community with nature as our own parents and with members as our own brothers and sisters is the most desirable way that life itself demands.

In such a way of life, the vital life itself, conducted by "Tao," will surely spring up for the first time. In this ever lasting melodious state of life itself, dances and songs will gush out, "kaga-i" (love affairs as seen especially in rural districts in former times) will be performed, and the festival of joy will penetrate and color the whole universe. By following "Tao," the spirit of the supreme being, our souls will be well nourished and our life will emit an aura every moment.

These things have been practiced in rural villages.

I would like to propose that in our ideal societies, all members, as a part of nature itself as a whole, should lead their lives helping one another. Thus, each community has to prepare a self-sufficiency system in order to secure its own survival basis. And, at the same time, itwill also need the mental support that can combine all the members' minds. It is not a social duty or a law but "Tao" that we need to become conscious of. So long as we keep it in mind, such differences as seen among religions or habits and customs don't matter so much, because they are considered to be mere trifles only ornamenting the same substance with different colors.

It is such an ideal society that the universal life itself demanded originally. And once conditions are prepared, it will emerge whenever it is suitable for it to do so.

But today, the wave stirred by the devil of material desire has become so huge during the process of human history that it is beginning to swallow up all the souls that are struggling to bloom by following "Tao", and to confine them to the "black hole."

In the next chapter, let's try to find out how to restore the basic moving of our life and the communities once we had before but that were taken away from us.

 

3. Strategy

As mentioned above, we are standing on a precipice. The conditions are the worst in Japan. But none the less we should not give up hope. I believe that we are now standing at the turning point when we are compelled to counter-attack because we don't have any retreat route. For the very reason that we cannot retreat but fight, we can for the first time stand up to the "enemy" and sacrifice ourselves for whatever sake the fight may be nominally, even though the goal will turn out to be a mere illusion.

We must wake from the dream of "peace" now. The wave is almost swallowing us up. We must sharpen our wisdom and discern the true nature of the devil which has hidden itself very skillfully in these "peaceful circumstances," because the enemy is not tangible. It conceals itself inside ourselves as well.

For that very reason, each of us has to keep doing his best to overcome it. Then we have to form a battle array developing systematically to the whole extent in every branch with other comrades who are on standby, waiting for it by overcoming the devil inside themselves.

Since what we are dependent upon is the very thing life itself longs for, that is, "Tao," our struggle is totally supported by it.

Therefore, if we can succeed in drawing the unlimited creative energy from it, and in emancipating our souls skillfully by adhering to it, we will never fail to win.

We need to combine all these souls which resist the wave of the devil by trying to stay with "Tao," and have them each take a role in the strategy so that we can all survive the worst situation. For that purpose, we must make good use of things our senior members in societies have created and left for us, and need to go on cooperating with the sacred nature in all parts of the world. Then, in the process of the struggle, we have to develop our knowledge and technique sufficiently so that the survivors of the war can survive the catastrophe, and make them conscious of the reason we human beings have caused such an awful state in this world. Then we must revive the human race according to the spirit of the supreme being so as not to have people repeat the same error.

Though we have a plan to create a "utopia" on a world-wide scale, the blue print at present shows us only an abstract direction. So we need to derive concrete forms in the process of our struggle.

By the way, if we lack a sense of strategic direction by only having tactics in mind, we are sure to be at a loss, with the destination to be attained only by floating at the mercy of the present stream, and finally we will be swallowed up.

And even though we have a strategy, so long as it is prepared selfrighteously and having an illusory effect against the will of life itself, it will turn out to be rather harmful because it is only foolish to pull the power of life down forcibly.

We must depend upon "Tao" for the strategic direction every soul wants to take.

Next, as for the individual, each person must find his own role and then perform it actively in the confirmed direction. We need to keep moving forward toward a common goal systematically and comprehensively with accelerating speed. Whether we can win or not totally depends upon how we make good use of what previous leaders have done and left for us.

We should not cling to such differences as seen in religious or political dogma, factions, and so on any longer. We must put ourselves in the position of life itself. So long as we keep our feet on the path that life itself demands, no matter what ideas a person may have, or no matter what country, organization, association, faction, or so forth a person may belong to, we can take joint action on this single basis. We should not be deceived by illusions projected in our minds.

As for souls, they are confined and injured by the devil of material desire, which also undermines the universal life itself. Not only we human beings but also all other souls such as mountains, rivers, air, sea, plants, animals, and so on are suffering and crying out because of this injury. If they die out, we will die out, too. Their sufferings are none other than ours.

We must put ourselves in their place and sympathize with their will to bloom. Combining the will to follow "Tao," we must break down the prevailing devil that has caused hell to appear in this world and is infringing on us now.

It may be clear that we, having gotten accustomed to ease for decades, will refuse hard work and struggle. But so long as we follow the path toward the supreme being, blessing and joyfulness in vital life will be sure to go with us. We should not be deceived by mere sensual comfort or discomfort. Let's ascertain what we really long for by tracing our way back into each own abyss to the universal life itself. "Tao" will lead us.

Now, we are going to survey a strategy today for our own survival. The subject of this revolution is every soul that drops out of the control system of today and rebels against it.

Even though one doesn't accept the system actively, so long as he allows himself to stay easily under its control, we can say that he is taking part in the encroachment on life itself. Once we deside to restore our vital life, we should escape the control system as soon as possible. Changing our attitude is the most important task for us now.

However, taking into consideration the fact that the very change itself occurs only when conditions are met, we cannot but wait for the conditions to appear so that the masses are forced to awake. And as the conditions appear, we dropouts need to prepare communities that are self-sufficient to build the basis of our own survival. Then, in the same way, we need to prepare communities all over the country that drop out of the present control system, and lead them to rebel against it.

But if we are chained to yokes such as the "market mechanism," "higher productivity," "industrialized farming," and so on, we cannot but be swallowed up by the wave of the devil. This never represents "Tao," but only confines us to leading a slavish life for ever.

Next, we must develop new energy systems and high technology so that each community can survive by itself, because large-scale energy systems controlled by a few are sure to harm life and cause environmental pollution or abnormal weather conditions. Furthermore, the egotism that "satisfying only the 'self' is everything" makes the matter worse.

Incidentally, some say that we should go back to the primitive farming which prevailed at the beginning of human history, or even to the time when people lived by hunting and gathering because scientific technique has brought upon us the civilized evil we are facing now. However, the point is not the "tools", but the people who use them.

So long as people continue to be slaves to insatiable desire, the tools will also be developed according to their desire so that they can make it possible for people to dominate or destroy all the souls on Earth. And it never stops here, but leads to total destruction, including the people themselves. Or rather, They eventually kill themselves with the tools they have developed so highly.

But what about members who know self-sufficiency with their feet firmly on "Tao"? Why do they need to develop a tool that enables them to dominate all other souls? We can say that they improve good tools and use them with a raised consciousness so that all the souls in the community can prosper all the more.

For our survival, we have to prepare such self-sufficient communities all over the world. And then we need to have people in big cities join us in each community, where they must also share work with members. But they have to be given suitable work according to their natures and talents because it makes the operation more effective. And the scale has to be limited; small enough to avoid troubles in administration usually seen in a big society.

In the beginning, taking advantage of domestic political policy that abandons most farmers, we need to organize farmers and their organizations in each district and have them prepare a self-sufficiency system. And, in accordance with "Tao," each organization has to co-operate with those of urban dwellers in preparing an ideal community. In this way, each community has to become independent of the control system with a self-sufficient system in basics such as staple foods and clothing.

Next, each community has to keep in touch with others and carry out mutual aid by exchanging information and technologies, as this is the best way to make all communities more prosperous. For that purpose, we need to provide opportunities for representatives from each community to meet and discuss problems brought up at the meeting.

In this way we need to create communities based upon "Tao" all over the world, and help them survive the coming catastrophe, which will be caused by the material desire upon which the world-wide control systemis based.

All communities dispersed throughout the world must practice mutual aid. It is a matter of course to give aid to those places suffering from famine. But we should also help those communities survive intense pressure under today's system. For this purpose, we must give them personal, material, technical, and economic aid actively. We should not keep looking on while our comrades are struggling for their independence.

No matter what idea, religion, or custom people might have, so long as they are struggling to bloom in their own way by following "Tao," we must take joint action with them. At the coming biggest crisis in human history, each community has to keep in touch with others and help others. Otherwise we could not survive any longer.

Lastly, when world war takes place, we rebels against this system have to overcome together the wave of the devil with as few victims as possible. In this case, we at first need to preach the reality of "Tao" to the world so as to prevent meaningless massacre. But against invaders we are forced to protect ourselves by resorting to guerrilla warfare all over the world. The guerrilla army cannot be offensive but must be only defensive for protecting our communities.

In this war, there is no "war criminal." We can define this as a "war" to rescue all souls from this hell. Once we human beings win this war, having become aware of the emptiness and sadness of this world, which is caused to appear by material desire, we can create the ideal world with the help of the highest consciousness.

 

As a first step of the long march toward the ideal world, we need to develop a strategy and confirm it together. Let's have meetings to discuss it. Please give us your ideas.

Next, we need to have you organize various kinds of people and have them go on struggling systematically and comprehensively.

As for the domains for our activity, we can draw a rough line between the two, that is, the theoretical one and the practical one.

Concerning the theoretical one first, in such scientific fields as physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, agriculture, and so on, we need to develop a new energy system, industrial technology, machines, etc., so that each community can make good use of them and survive in a self-sufficient system.

In the religious and philosophical fields, we need to help people establish a view of life, or cosmic view and world view so that they can become conscious of "Tao," the spirit of the supreme being.

In the cultural and social sciences such as literature, politics, economics, sociology, and so on, we need to propagate those views obtained above for the masses.

Keeping the above at the center of the discussion, we need to hold various meetings or gatherings.

Concerning the practical one, we can divide it into two fields: creating community and self-defense activity.

In the former, we don't much care about how it is formed and what nationality it happens to have so long as the community practices the theory introduced with the help of high consciousness, and it bases itself on "Tao." And if necessary, any surplus or essential technology it can afford also has to be offered to comrades in urban areas or communities overseas.

Those who live in cities need to keep contact with rural communities if possible, and help them actively when aid is needed. Once the time has arrived, city dwellers should move into rural communities and make good use of their skills there.

In the latter, we must prepare for aggression beforehand so as to protect our communities in case world war comes about.

At present, we need to offer aid abroad to those who suffer from internal problems. And maintaining solidarity with them as our comrades, we must help to free them of problems. We should persuade them not to replace the previous power structure with a new one, but to create communities following "Tao" and refuse interventions from big powers abroad. For that purpose, we need to give them every kind of aid we can afford in order to satisfy their essential needs until they become independent and have a self-sufficiency system in each community. Then, maintaining contact with others including each community, association, body, movement, and so on as well as with individuals, we need to prepare for the very time when we are compelled to rouse ourselves to a rebellion.

If things go well in both theory and practice, and once the reasonability and possibility of the revolution also begin to be recognized as well along their processes, our communities will come to exist one after another. And with the help of these communities, more and more other communities, associations, bodies, and individuals will also drop out of today's control system more rapidly and join our battle line.

Still more, our movement will become more popular when a critical disaster or an incident happens since Japan now occupies a very unstable position with respect to food and energy supply.

Force cannot be the subject of this revolution because force is needed only to protect our communities in case of emergency. Preparing for the world war, we must allow a defensive guerrilla army to protect us from invaders. Otherwise, our ideal communities will turn out to be nothing but a mere imaginary thing when the war breaks out.

The problems we are facing now will be solved in the process of our practice. We should not be so strict as to chain all actions to an ideal. We have only to lead people gradually as close to the goal as possible during the process.

Uniting all rebellious energy against this control system in one direction, we must build our own ideal world steadily and thoroughly, but with ever increasing speed. At the same time, we must not spare the effort to secure the ability to survive, which has to be maintained even when the worst conditions arise in the near future.

Even in Japan, our fundamental "country," which is supposed to have borders and sound political functions as a supreme entity, has almost collapsed now. This planet is filled with deserters. Many big and small "powers" prevailing in this system are prowling about and eating all the souls on Earth insatiably.

The time is now when all the deserters should join together in preparing our own ideal community, that is "Noah's ark," in order to survive the huge wave caused by the devil. Whether the wave swallows us all up or whether we can create a "utopia" that has never been built before by creating a sacred wave and overcoming the catastrophe, it totally depends upon how we struggle in this war.

Now we have to begin on the first step of the long march that leads to the emancipation of all the souls on Earth, and as a result of this, to the blooming of ourselves.
