IDLING STOP meaning that cutting the engine in stationary vehicles.
When vehicles stop at crossing, cross rail road, traffic jum etc. vehicles stop but engine is working and making pollution air, noise and consumes fuel.
So, the Environment Agency began a campaign against idling on 1997 in Japan. The Environment Agency took the opportunity to inaugurate its campaign during the so-called environment month of June 1997, which preceded Kyoto's December 1997 hosting off COP3-the Third Session of the Conference of the Parties to the U.N.Framework Convention on Climatate Change. The agency distributed pamphlet detailing idling's detrimental effects on the environment to concerned industrial group and local governments, and distributed large quantities of "IDLING STOP" stickers to be posted on trucks and taxis. In this way, the movement's scope has been increased.
We do not know how to say "IDLING STOP"in English. But we know above action is controling by law in Germany, N.Y.state in USA.
Now in Japan, several local goverments are doing impose logal control for at parking area.
Our aim is not only parking area and every time cutting engine when unnecessary running engines, waiting trafic ligh, traffic jum, and so on.

We belive that cutting engine is very useful reduce air pollution and global warming and also to contribute to energy conservation.
