Hanaidani Kanna-Nagasi Honba

Honba means facilities where the iron sand is gathered. The iron sand is a raw material of the Tatara steel manufacture.
The specific gravity of the iron sand is heavier than that of sand. Therefore, the iron sand precipitates when earth and sand is thrown into the gutter. The process by which the iron sand is selected is called Kanna-Nagasi.
