There is influenced there by the typhoon and the monsoon, therefore, any forest does not exist in the vicinity of the top of a mountain, only alpine meadow extends there.

(7)Mt.Miyanoura scenery at the top A peculiar alpine plant to this mountain exists. There are relative of the alpine plant in a Japanese mainland. But the alpine plant of Yakushima island has evolved originally.

(8)Mt.Nagata Mt.Nagata is above sea level 1836m. We can look at a magnificent scenery from the top of a mountain. For example, the sub frigid zone from the vicinity to the forest in the temperate zone and the coast of the top of a mountain in the subtropics at the same time. The climate in the entire Japan Islands are condensed there!

Originally, the north of the forest in the temperate zone has the forest of the conifer. But only the conifer forest does not exist in Yakushima island.There is alpine meadow there.
