Climbing Mt.Fuji

I went July 19th and 20th on 1997 to climb the highest mountain.
I see the mountain from office everyday in winter, but my first experience to climb it.
And, I like sking from top to bottom, but I dislike from bottom to top.

On July 19th, I rode on a JR train started at 6:00 oclock from Shinjuku to Ohtsuki, Kawaguchi Lake.
In the station, I was said "You cannot sleep without reservation on the buffet of mountain."
Maybe I felt he lied, but I reserved a hotel on the 8th lines of the mountain.
In case of Mt.Fuji, buffet is called a "Yamamura" instead of "Yamakoa" with applying to severe nature.
I went to fifth line on the mountain at 11:00 from Kawaguchi Lake station by bus.
I had got lunch and rest to apply low pleasure at the high location for an hour.
I began climbing at 12:00

It was fine in that day, it was fogs near 6th line.

The view opened over the cloud near the 7th line.
I reached a reserved buffet on the 8th line at 4:00.
But I cannot take a rest there, I continued to climb.
The snow was rested near 8th line.

I reached a buffet near the 9th line after climbing, but they registed to sleep there.
At the result, I reached top of the mountain till 6:30 at the sunset before night.
In there, I catched a buffet.
The curry rice on the buffet was 1200yen and good taste.
Because a buffet was full, I slept a short space.
Someone became sick by the low pleasure, I slept deeply.
Sick by the low pleasure pains head.

Tomorrow 20th

Many persons climbed outside buffet, sunrise time came.
I saw a beautiful sunrise with a lot of persons at AM 4:38.

And I walked around top of Mt.Fuji.
Because Mt.Fuji is volcano, outer top of Mt.Fuji is very large.
There are weather measurement, buffets, post office(only summer season) on the edge of the outer top
I waled around the edge of the outer for two hours.

I could see "Fujikage" from the top, which is a shadow of Mt.Fuji to land or clouds.
It is shown only very beautiful fine day, I was very lucky.

I ate a breakfast at the buffet on the top.
An instant nudle was sold 800 yen.
It was the highest nudle in japan.

I began climbing down at AM 8:00.
There was a "Suna-bashiri" from the seventh line.
"Suna-bashiri" is the long slopes of volcano dusts.

It was very interesting like ski.
Climbing down was very short, about two and half hours.
But my shoes were broken.

I went back from fifth line to Gotenba-station by bus.
There was no hot spa near the station, I could not go bath.

Summary:
Mt.Fuji has no plant, only rocks and volcano dusts.
It is the very beautiful mountain to see, but not to climb.
I will never climb again.

In fact, I recorded movie by a handy video camera, and I edited a short film.
The film is about three minuites, but it is too large to load the networks.
But I would like to show it, I try to search another approach.
