Visiting "Die Tuba"

Location and Access

Die Tuba is located at a town named Braunfels in suburbs of Frankfurt. It takes 50 min by car from Frankfurt.

Taking train, the nearest station is Gravenwiesbach, where you can reach by:

• Take S5 line (underground) from Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof to Bad Homburg.
• At Bad Homburg, transfer to a diesel vehicle to Gravenwiesbach.
• Gravenwiesbach is the terminal.

It takes approx. 1.5 hr on train from Frankfurt to Gravenwiesbach. On Sundays and holidays trains are available about one per hour. There are a couple of direct services from Frankfurt to Gravenwiesbach, which goes not from "S5" but a platform on the ground at Frankfurt.

behind this bar there is a phone box, where posted 10, 20 and 50 pfennigs are accepted. I tried with 10 pfennig coins for several times only to fail.... At last I call in the bar and was informed that the phone only accepts 50 pfennigs. Yep, it was succesful with 50 pfennig coins. Argh, I wished more honest instruction posted in the phonebox!
