Visiting "Die Tuba"

Impression on Choice

The horns sounds very even from one to another. Among those, I found some "prominent" instruments. I found four out of 19. It took more than one hour to select those four.

I spent more time to choose the best one from the four. The one I selected has good high register which enable me to produce tones in that range easily, as if I get really good skill. It's a pleasure!

Some horns have resonant noise, but those horn's sonority was farely good. From my personal experience, when I re-solder a horn with resonant noise, the sonority changed drastically, in negative direction. Is it a general matter?

After all, I recommend to visit "Die Tuba" if you are interested to try St. Pete's tuba. Germany is a lovely place to visit if you have enough time and money.
