Fukuda is an animal photographer who has been spending over 100 days every year sine 1990 taking pictures of wild animals in Russia's Far East. The Japanese archipelago is locared to the east of the Eurasian continent, across the Sea of Japan. The nature of Japan and Russian have many things in common and have a mutually complementary relationship. Steller's Sea Eagle, Swan, etc. spend the witer in Japan and raise their chicks in Russia. Amur tigers disappeared from the Japanese archipelago 2,000 years ago, but frwer than 400 live in Russia's far east. Knowing Russia's nature is like understanding Japan's nature. And vice versa.
