AMUR TIGER

Although the Amur tiger is said to be the world's largest wild cat and the strongest land carnivore, there is very little accurate information about it. The largest wild cat in existence. It was widely distributed in the middle and lower reaches of the Amur River, Primorsky Krai, northeastern China (Heilongjiang and Jilin provinces), and the Korean Peninsula, but its habitat is currently shrinking. The total population is between 320 and 390 individuals. It survives mainly in the Sikhote-Anri mountain range in Russia.

IN THE VAST TAIGA

Medvedev, a former nature reserve employee, followed him for 14 months for a TV interview. Video of Amur tiger parent and cub. I woke up. He was young at the time and there were many Amur tigers, and he declared, ``I will never do such a dangerous and difficult job again.'' It's not easy to find an Amur tiger in the vast taiga. There's only one option... Just keep waiting in a place where the probability of seeing an Amur tiger is high.

I JUST KEEP WAITING

75 Day Hard Challenge!!

I couldn't think of any other place other than here. From the observation hut, we drove a buggy into the dangerous bay, and from the slope of the cape, we found a sandy beach where footprints were often seen, extending to the ophthalmology clinic. In preparation for a long battle, they dig a hole in the middle of the slope and build a hut inside so they can wait for the Amur tiger. The completed photo hut is 2.3 meters long, 1.5 meters wide, and 1.4 meters high.

At last ... After 50 days

Taken in February 2012 after months of planning and 50 days spent in a cramped, freezing hide, this astonishing picture shows an adult female Siberian tiger crossing a snow-covered beach in Lazo National Conservation Area, Russia.

― THE WILD AMUR TIGER ―

The wild Amur tiger remains in my heart even after I photographed it visually in the field. Currently, I have 11 camera traps set up in three locations in the Lazo National Nature Reserve. In the New Year of 2013, he revisited the Lazo National Nature Reserve and recovered some of the 33,000 photos he collected from the taiga, which taught us a lot and also brought us some exciting news. I was able to see a ray of hope in the growth of the next generation of young tigers. First of all, the female tiger that I visually photographed was unharmed. Moreover, this female tiger had a cub that was between 18 and 19 months old. In other words, while I was waiting for the Amur tiger at the photo booth, this female tiger was nursing young cubs between 5 and 9 months old. Compared to the well-proportioned physique of the mother tiger, young tigers have large heads and retain their youthful appearance. After two years, the young tigers leave their mother's protection and must survive on their own. I can't help but pray from the bottom of my heart that the young tiger will safely become the emperor of the taiga and pass on life to the next generation.
