年の瀬もいよいよ押し詰まってきました。
関東地方は毎日快晴の日が続いていますが、夕暮れ (12/29 17:30JST頃)
の南西の空を見上げると、三日月(月齢3.8)の左上に輝く金星が見えます。

明日(12/30) は、もっと金星が月に近づき、まるで アラビアンナイトの
おとぎ話の中の光景のように見えるはずです。 天文年鑑(誠文堂新光社)
によると、今年になって本日(12/29)の月が地球から最も離れていること
がわかりました。 (地心距離 406134km, 視直径 29'25", -7等級)

Subject: [amsat-bb:40086] Venus

The winter sky was studded with numberless glittering stars, Venus
and Moon.  Today moon is the most distance from the earth.
(age 3.8, range 406134km, apparent diameter 29'25", magnitude -7)

The venus is twinkling close to a moon such as the Arabian Nights.

Venus and the moon were a very lovely sight here in Boston USA!
As the moon set, some high wispy clouds started to form a viel in
front of her .... I think that means lots of snow here tomorrow!

I couldn't see Venus today 30 Dec as it was cloudily in Japan.
She will be appear tomorrow again before us.
