A family of Squamata is the most modern Reptilia including a lizard and a snake, and the fossil former than the Jurassic is not known.
The lizard is distributed over the world widely, and, as for the size, there is the intermediate thing, but there are many small things. It tend to become the form that a foot degenerates to this friend, and resembled a snake and tend to live a life with the kind that degenerated of the foot in a basement.
The snake is a Triassic period with the thing which appeared in all reptiles very last in the time. A snake is a slim creature and there are not the forefoot, and, as for the hind leg, the primitive thing which seems to be worm snake and a boa degenerates and stays, but it is not recognized to the snake which evolved.
