Beetle Stamp of Burundi

Burundi becomes one of the world LDC and MSAC in a landlocked country to be located in centrally of the African Continent. Burundi which assumed Pygmy family indigenous people was admitted into the German East Africa with neighboring country Rwanda in 1885, and it was it with Belgian trust territory, and the World War I afterward Belgian mandate, the World War II back became independent as a kingdom in 1962. An opposition of Tutsi and Hutu intensified from about 1966 when they shifted to republican form of government by coup d'etat, and a Hutu slaughter case by the Tutsi who grasped the armed forces got up, and a large quantity of Hutu drifted to Rwanda as refugees. The first Hutu native place President was born in 1993, but it is assassinated, and a case of a plane crash happens in 1994, and the succeeding Hutu native place President dies, too. A military coup occurs in 1996 and sends lot of deads.
Nine kinds of wonderful beetle stamps were issued from Burundi in 1970. The beetle of the Ethiopian regions, such as Jewel Longhorn Beetle of 0.5F, Goliath Beetle of 3F, and Field Form Stag Beetle of 3.5F, is drawn, and good selection of a beetle is carried out. The large-sized beetle is skillfully drawn on the white background, and it is favorite one.
Four kinds of bee stamps and one piece of small seat including four kinds of bee stamps were issued in 2011.
