Legal counselling
You can obtain an attorney's advice at the bar associations.
At the bar associations legal counseling fee is approximately 5,000yen per half an hour. Bar associations will introduce you an attorney.

Legal Aid
You can obtain an attorney's advice at the branches of Japan Legal Aid Corporation provided that your income falls within the qualifying standard income;without fee at Tokyo Branch. And if they judge that your case has the chance of winning, Legal Aid advances you money for filing a law suit.
The Qualifying Standard Income:

• Monthly income of single family must be approximately under 200,000yen.
• Monthly income of a family with 2 members must be approximately under 276,000yen.
• Monthly income of a family with 3 members must be approximately under 299,000yen.
• Monthly income of a family with 4 members must be approximately under 328,000yen.
