Here is a 'never again!' project. This is a big print - it is a poster for a local chorus group, and measures 54 x 40 centimetres. It's about 12 or thirteen impressions, and is done on a hard stiff paper, not the soft washi that I normally use for woodblock prints. I had to make upwards of 100 copies for distribution around the town.

Somebody from the group passed me an image of the woman and the seashell (I have no idea where she got it), and I arranged it into a posterish design, along with the required lettering (done in both positive and negative).

In retrospect, I can't believe that I actually agreed to do this job (volunteer ...), as it was an insane amount of work. Trying to print that wide sky area on such heavy paper is very hard labour indeed, and I very nearly broke down and couldn't do it. But I had promised them that I would make their posters, so I did ...

But as I said ... never again ...
