The Fact of the World War II
Even though I have talked about the World War II, I realized that I don't know enough about the war.
According the book "Hiroshima" by Ronald Takaki, a fellow of the Society of Americans and a professor of Ethnic Studies at Berkeley, the W.W.II was totally a racism war. During the war, Japanese who lived in the United States were sent to camps. Even family were sent to different places for more than three years. There were, of course, Germans and Italians in the United States during the W.W.II, however, they were not suffered from anything because they were WHITE. To Americans, German and Italians were friend. They blamed on the war to Hitler, not civics, because they are white, tall, European. American thought that those people can't do something awful, it is just because of one bad guy who took over the country. But not in case of Japan. To Americans, Japanese were short, yellow, Asian. Americans thought that Japanese were those people who might do anything. As a matter of fact, the Japanese were under the control of the emperor Hirohito who had a power over the military. The slogan for the war in Japan was "For the Emperor! Protect Japan!" People were controlled by the right wing government. There were some people who protest the war, but they were all sent to prison or killed. Some people were aware of the war, and some people were just controlled by the power. Of course, American don't care what the truth is. American took the war as "Against Japanese" when in case of Germany, it was "Against Hitler."
The atomic bomb had nothing to do with ending the war. According to the book, McAurther, who was in charge of military on Asia during the Pacific war, said before America drop the bomb, "There is no necessity to drop the bomb in order to end the war. Japan has nothing left in order to keep the war. In less than three months, Japan will end the war." The president Roosevelt was planning of the atomic bomb in case German attack the United States. They were really afraid of the power of German because at the moment, German had high militaristic technology. They thought that German were making some kind of atomic bomb to drop on the United States. However, the war between America and German ended. What left was Japan. People who was in charge on the war knew that there was absolutely no necessity for atomic bomb. However, Truman wanted to intimidate Russia, and the whole world for the future, and dropped the bomb TWICE on the land of Japan. Eight o'clock in the morning on fifth, August, in the early Summer, just when people started the day. Some were doing laundry, some were exchanging "Good morning" to each other. People saw one little plane in the sky, but no one was suspicious because usually when they attack cities, there were hundreds of planes. McAurther didn't even know about the dropping the bomb. The words when he was noticed about the bomb was "Why!?"
Truman was almost forced to drop the bomb, of course he could say "No." But he must have known that someday he has to say yes because they spent billions of dollars on the study and producing of the bomb, and they wanted to see how powerful it is. It's better to do something really awful to Jap rather than to other white people because he might get bashed from the white Americans.
Einstein was an awesome scientist. He invented many useful objects, and contributed to the whole world. However, he was the one who invente the bomb, too. After all, he was a man who did anything for money. The United States asked him to invented, and he did it, and he earned money. How simple this is? War is something that we have to stop. "Peace" means not only P-E-A-C-E. Peace means "no blood" American still believe that to keep the peace, it is necessary to have war. After all these experiences, American had Gulf War, again. The whole world knew that having war was stupid, unnecessary. French rose contrast for the conflict in the Middle East. It suggested many ways to end the conflict in that area. It seemed very good idea. But America didn't even took consideration on it. They just made war. They needed because they needed to make money. Because of the Gulf War, American economy got better. Many people got hired. No matter what people might say about this, this is the fact. It is hard to see what is real because there is always control over media. I'm not sure but, some information might not be even available in America.
Americans love the word "Freedom." Americans always escaped from everything by using "freedom." I think it is such a stupid word. It doesn't have any definition. It is too abstract to understand. Yes, maybe there is a freedom to kill, rob, rape, and have war in the United States.
