Violence affected from TV
Why are there so many extreme, psycho, serious murders in this decade in America? One of the most powerful effects on these crime is from violent TV shows which are increasing in number every year.
When I as a little child, I was shocked by violence on TV. I was so shocked so that I couldn't eat well for a couple days because I never see violent shows earlier in my life. That was when movie companies started to put gas on making shootings and fighting movies. Look at children now, they don't afraid of screams, guns, and blood. They are brain washed by watching those scenes in number of times on TV.
Why is TV so effective on people? Because TVs are the most strongly mass media throughout the America. Some people never open up any magazines or newspapers; everyone has some kind of access to TV in their lives. We don't have to go buy the information at the corner of a train station, we just turn on the knob to see whatever kind of information on TV; talk shows, news, music videos, and movies. No one can live without TV, and actually, millions of American spend their all days just watching TV.
Then, who would be effected from TVs? Basically, every one of us are effected from TVs, but TV has the most powerful effect on children because they are at the stage of learning of human lives, and try to cope with it in their real life. Technically, they don't have ability to see what is right, and what is true on TV would be the true in their lives.
TVs are the entertaining for adults. TVs are the reality for children. what can we do to this contradiction? "Don't let children watch TV shows!" This would be too much pain to children because they already know how amusing TVs are. And also, not all the TV shows are violent. Some shows even teach about great science or history of famous people in the history. It actually is a new way of learning which gives children to find some fun in studying. The problem here is that everyone has access to every channel. If children don't have any violent channels, they don't see it. There should be more channels so that they can specify the contents of TVs.
Recently many people speak up of violence TV shows. However, they just attack movie companies for making violent movies. But hey, that's their job to entertain America! Don't loose the way. The way we should be focus on is how to send right shows to the right people. Now we have the Playboy channel as one of example of sending channel just to people who want. We must create more area in same way. We'll make a difference.
