1	映画の中でスタントを自分自身でやったみたいだけど、最新の映画（POA)ではどのスタントを演じたの？そのために訓練をしたの？どのくらい難しいの？ It's been noted that you personally perform many of the stunts in the films. Which stunts did you perform in the latest film, did you have to train, and how difficult were they to perform?
Dan:	POAでは主に２つのシーンでたくさんのスタントを必要だったんだ、バックビークのシーンと、クィディッチのシーンだね。バックビークのシーンでは視覚効果とともにとても正確な動きが必要とされたんだ。今回のクィディッチのシーンは雨の中だったけどとても興奮したよ。その中でも、ディメンターを見て箒からスピンしてコントロールを失って落下しなきゃいけなかったんだ。僕はとっても高いところから下にあるマットに向かって落ちたんだ。僕はこの種のスタントがすきなんだ。毎日、過去３作品でも一緒にスタンとチームした人たちと訓練しているんだ。この作品はどんどん肉体的に要求されてくるので僕はこれにかなうようにあわせなければいけないんだ。 There are two particular scenes that involved a lot of stunt work in THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN - flying Buckbeak and, of course, Quidditch. With Buckbeak, I had to combine very precise physical movements with the visual effects, which was very demanding. Quidditch this time is in the rain and is probably the most exciting Quidditch sequence yet! Amongst other things, they had me spinning out of control and falling off my broomstick when I see the Dementors. I free fell from the broom, from quite a height, on to mats below. I always love this sort of stunt. I train every day with a member of the stunt department who has trained me for the past three films and as these films get more and more physically demanding I have to be extremely fit to get through them.
#2	スタントをしているときにケガをしたことは？ Have you ever been injured while performing a stunt?
Dan:	今のところケガなんてないよ！！スタントチームはとってもすばらしくて、スタントをする前にたくさんの準備が行われるんだ。 No, no injuries so far!!!! The stunt team is brilliant and a lot of preparation takes place before I ever film a stunt.
#3	運転できる年になったけど、車を運転したことはある？ You are nearing driving age. Have you tried to drive yet?
Dan:	まだ運転したことはないよ。僕の母親はドライブが好きだけど、父親は嫌いなんだ。だから僕がどちらあとををとるのか分からないな。 I haven't tried to drive yet. My mum loves driving, but my dad hates it, so I am not sure in whose footsteps I will follow.
#4	もし、今日車を買いにいくなら、どの車を買う？ If you went out car shopping today, what car would you buy?
Dan:	あまり車のことはわからないんだ、でも僕の夢の車はロスで恐れられて嫌われている赤いカディラックだね。彼らはその車をGreatRedShark(巨大な赤いサメ）と呼んでいるんじゃないかな？ I don't know that much about cars, but my fantasy car would be the red Cadillac in FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS. I think they call it the Great Red Shark.
#5	いつもどのようにクリスマスを過ごすの？ How do you and your family usually spend Christmas?
Dan:	とってもリラックスしているんだ。祖母が来て、数日間滞在したり、友達に会ったりだね。 It is a very relaxed time. My grandmother comes and stays with us for a few days and we see friends. It is a very low key affair.
#6	今までで最高のクリスマスは？ What is your most cherished memory of Christmas?
Dan:	去年オーストラリアにいたときだね。メルボルンでみんなで過ごして、すばらしい家族に招待されて一緒にクリスマスを過ごしたんだ。僕たちは丁度中国から着いたばかりで、ホテルでクリスマスランチをしていたんだ。僕たちはとても疲れてたんだけど、彼らが僕たちを誘ってくれたんだ。彼らの家に行ってとってもすばらしい日を過ごしたよ。まだ彼らと連絡は取ってるよ。予期しなかったすばらしい日だったよ。 That would have to be last year when we were in Australia. We spent Christmas Day in Melbourne and we were 'adopted' by the most fantastic family, who invited us to share Christmas Day with them. We had just arrived from China and were having Christmas lunch in the hotel. We were feeling very tired but they asked us to come and spend the rest of the day with them. We went to their house and had a brilliant day. We are still in contact with them. It was the most amazing day because it was all so unexpected.
#7	好きな休日と理由を教えて？ What is your favorite holiday and why?
Dan:	クリスマスかな。とってもリラックスしているし、すばらしいプレゼントをもらえるからさ。 It would have to be Christmas because it is very relaxed and I receive some great presents!!!!!!
#8	好きな季節と理由を教えて？ What is your favorite season of the year and why?
Dan:	たぶん夏かな、だって大体は学校で夏季試験を終わらせているし、暖かくて暑いし、いつもより多く友達とでかけられるから。 Probably summer because I have usually just finished my summer exams at school and it is warm and hot and I have more time to hang out with my friends
#9	２００４年の抱負を教えて What's your 2004 New Year's Resolution?
Dan:	料理を習いたいな。来年君の元へ戻ったらどうなったか教えるよ。 I really want to learn how to cook, so I will get back to you this time next year and let you know how I get on.
#10	ファンからもらった一番思い出深いプレゼントは？ What's the most original or memorable gift you've ever received from a fan?
Dan:	もちろんDanRadcliffe.comからもらったバースデーアルバムだよ。一生大切にするよ。 Without a doubt the best gift I received was the birthday album sent by the fans at danradcliffe.com. I will keep it forever.
#11	もし、全てのファンに何かあげられるとしたら何をあげる？理由を教えて？ If you could give every fan of yours a gift for Christmas what would it be and why?
Dan:	シンプソンのビデオかな。シンプソンはTV番組の中で一番すばらしいと思うよ。 I would give them a video of The Simpsons because it is probably the greatest show on television.
#12	作家になりたいみたいだけど、出版されたものはある？ It's been noted that you might like to become a writer. Have you written anything that's been published?
Dan:	ないよ No.
#13	どんな書き物がすき？例えば詩、歌、ショートストーリー(短編小説)シナリオ、劇？何について？ What sort of things do you write, i.e. Poems, Songs, Short Stories, Screen Plays? What are some of them about?
Dan:	自分の時間では詩を書くのがすきなんだでも、学校では短編小説を書くよ。ほとんどがダークで真剣そのもの、ユーモアのはあまりないな。 In my own time I like to write poetry but at school I write short stories. They are usually very dark and very intense - not much humour in them.
#14	大学へは行くつもり？もしそうなら、何を専攻したい？ Are you planning to attend College and if so, what do you think you'd like to Major in?
Dan:	現在では分からないけど、もし行くとするなら心理学を学びたいな I don't know at the moment as it is sometime ahead but if I did go, I would probably like to study psychology.
#15	家庭教師と学校へ行かなければいけないみたいだけど、なた撮影に戻るのに数ヶ月間学校へ戻るのは大変じゃない？ You obviously have to adapt between on-set tutoring and attending school. Do you find it difficult to return to school for a few months, only to leave again and return to filming?
Dan:	ハリーポッターの撮影はとても長いから、長い間学校から離れることもあるけれど、友人たちや、学校の先生はとても協力的だから、僕がずっと離れていたということを感じさせないんだ。 Because the HARRY POTTER films take so long to make, I can be away from school for a very long time. But because I have a very good set of friends at school and my teachers are very supportive, as soon as I return they make me feel as if I have never been away.
#16	何かスポーツはする？または学校のスポーツチームに所属しているの？ Do you play any sports or are you on any sporting teams in school?
Dan:	走るのは得意なんだ。ラグビーも好きだけど学校ではやらないんだ。だからいつかやるようなスポーツじゃないね。 I am quite good at running and I love rugby but we don't play rugby at my school so it's not something I will be taking up in the future.
#17	好きな食べ物と嫌いな食べ物は？ What are your favorite food and your least favorite food?
Dan:	好きな料理は魚料理。嫌いな料理はジャンクフード My favourite food is any kind of fish - I love it. My least favourite is junk food.
#18	Ben&Jerry's Ice Creamの味で好きなものは？ What's your favorite Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Flavour?
Dan:	Phish food.
#19	ケーキが嫌いなようだけど、デザートでは何がすき？本当にケーキが嫌いなら？もしケーキが好きならどのケーキがすき？ You've been quoted as saying "you weren't much of a cake person", What do you prefer for dessert other than cake? Do you really not like cake at all, and if you do like cake what kind of cake do you like?
Dan:	ケーキは本当に好きじゃないんだ。ビスケットのほうが好き。JammyDodgersが好きだな。好きなデザートはバニラアイスクリームにチョコレートソース。すごいシンプルだね。 I have really never liked cake - I much prefer biscuits - Jammy Dodgers being my favourite. My favourite dessert is vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. Very simple.
#20	ダンスは好き？ダンスのレッスンはしたことある？ Do you like to dance and have you taken any dance lessons?
Dan:	両親はとっても上手なんだだから、もし僕がその血を受け継いでいるならいいな。レッスンは受けたことないな。 Both my parents are very good dancers so I hope I have inherited some of their genes in that respect . I have never taken dance lessons.
#21	あなたは芸術家？絵を描くのと(絵の具などで)描くのは好き？ Are you an artistic person? Do you like to draw or paint?
Dan:	本当に絵は下手なんだ。もっと上手だったらいいのに。下手だけど芸術(美術)は好き I am a truly terrible painter - I wish I was better at it. I am a big fan of art however, even though I am appalling at it.

Dan:	マージ(母)のKids you're no longer in Sunday school - don't swear-いつ聞いても笑っちゃう。 (子供たち!!日曜学校にいるんじゃないのよ。お祈りしないで(??) Marge "Kids you're no longer in Sunday school - don't swear" - makes me laugh every time.
#24	一日透明人間になれたらどこに行って何をする？ If you could be invisible for an entire day, where would you go and what would you do?
Dan:	MI５(007が所属しているところ) Visit MI5 (the Secret Service)
#25	魔法や幽霊を信じる？異星人は？ Do you believe in magic, ghosts, or life on other planets?
Dan:	信じるよ。何も知らないものがこの世界にあると考えることが好きなんだ Yes, I do, because I like to think there are things in this world we know nothing about.
#26	もし無人島に取り残されたとして、3つ欲しいものは？ If you were stranded on a deserted island alone, what three objects would you want to have with you?
Dan:	CDプレイヤー、CD、コンピレーションCD(編曲されたもの)あとスピードボート〔←逃げる気らしい・・・ I would have a cd player, a cd compilation and a speed boat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
#27	占いには興味ある？運勢は信じる？ Are you interested in Astrology and do you believe in Horoscopes?
Dan:	占いは興味がないし運勢は読んだことない。 I have no interest in astrology and I never read horoscopes.
#28	もし魔法が使えてこの世のもの一つ変えられるとしたら何を変えたい？ If you could use magic to change one thing in the world, what would you change?
Dan:	ジョン・レノンを生き返らせたいな。彼はとても天才だと思うから。 I would bring John Lennon back from the dead, as I think he was a genius
#29	バスギターを習っているって聞いたけど、いつかバンドを組みたいの？ I've heard you are learning the bass guitar. Would you like to establish your own Band in the future?
Dan:	楽器を弾くことは僕の人生の大部分を占めているから、いつかバンドの一員になりたいな。でもギターを弾くティーンエイジャーは誰でもそう思うんじゃないかな？ Because music plays such a large part of my life I would love to be in a band but I guess every teenage boy who plays a guitar feels that way.
#30	なんでパンクミュージックがすきなの？どの歌手に影響された？ How did you get into Punk Music and which artists influenced you?
Dan:	ハリーポッターのクルーの一人が僕を引き入れたんだ。彼が僕に音楽とファッションを紹介してくれて、バンドのことを教えてくれたんだ、それが始まり。僕の好きなバンドはSex Pistols, the Clash, the Stranglers, the Undertones and the Damnedだよ。 One of the crew members on HP got me into the whole punk thing. He introduced me to the music and the clothes and told me stories about the bands and that got me started. Some of my favourite bands would have to be the Sex Pistols, the Clash, the Stranglers, the Undertones and the Damned.

#31	もしコンサートにいけるならどのバンドのコンサートに行きたい？ If you could go to any concert which Band would you like to see?
Dan:	The Strokesは見たから、次ぎ見るならJane'sAddictionかな？ As I have now seen The Strokes in concert I guess Jane's Addiction would be the next band I would like to see.
#32	パンク以外で聴く音楽は？ What other music do you like to listen to other than punk?
Dan:	Nick Drake, Brendan Benson, Libertines, Johnny Cash, Pixies, and Janis Joplin.
#33	ロックコンサートに行ったことは？ Have you been to any Rock Concerts yet and which ones?
Dan:	先週初めて行ったんだ。The Strokesだよ。すばらしい経験だったよ。 I went to my first concert last week - to see The Strokes and it was an awesome experience.
#34	バスギターの他に習いたい楽器はある？ Are there any other types of instruments you would like to learn how to play besides the bass guitar?
Dan:	ピアノとドラム Piano and drums.
#35	Dan,歌ってもらったことはある？〔自分で）歌えるの？ Dan, have you tried your hand at singing, or can you sing?
Dan:	歌うのは好きなんだ。でも今のところ自分の寝室で練習するだけだよ。 I love singing, but so far I have only practiced in the privacy of my bedroom.
#36	VanityFairでPS２が好きだって書いてあったけど、どんなゲームがすきなの？ It was published in Vanity Fair that you prefer Playstation2. What type of games do you like?
Dan:	スポーツゲームだよ。ボクシング・ラグビーとか。シンプソンのゲームも好きだな I like a lot of sport games - boxing, rugby etc and I love the Simpsons game ROAD RAGE.
#37	テーマパークは好き？ディズニーランドへ行ったことはある？ Do you like theme parks with rides and have you ever been to Disney World?
Dan:	テーマパークは大好きだよ。ディズニーランドにも2回行ったことあるんだ。数年前だけどね。好きなアトラクションはスペースマウンテン。バルセロナに数年前に行ったとき、DragonKahn という乗り物に乗ったんだ。8個の輪を360度回転するんだ。お父さんは死ぬかと思ったみたいだけど I do like theme parks and I have been to Disney World twice, several years ago. My favourite ride was Space Mountatin. When I was in Barcelona a few years ago, I went on a ride called Dragon Kahn which had eight 360 degree loops which I loved. My Dad thought he was going to die.
#38	去年日本と中国に行ったけど最も面白かった経験は？寿司は好き？ While visiting Japan and China last year, what were some of the most interesting experiences you had? Did you like sushi?
Dan:	寿司は好きだよ。最もすばらしい経験は、京都のお寺を見たことかな。もちろん、雪の中万里の長城を歩いたこともすばらしいね。そのとき天気が悪かったせいか僕たちしかいあなかったんだ。だからとってもamazingだったよ I love sushi and one of the best experiences I had was seeing the temples in Kyoto and, of course, walking on the Great Wall of China in the snow. We were the only people on the Great Wall at that time because the weather was so bad and it was amazing and surreal.
#39	あなたの人生を通してどの国に行きたい？どの国が好き？ Throughout your life, what are the different countries you have been able to travel to and which ones were your favorites?
Dan:	次の国は行ったことあるんだ-アメリカ・スェーデン・スペイン・イタリア・オランダ・フランス・日本・中国・オーストラリア。どの国も素敵だよ。でも特にすばらしかったのは日本・アメリカ・オランダそしてオーストラリアだね。 I have visited the following countries - USA, SWEDEN, SPAIN, ITALY, HOLLAND, FRANCE, JAPAN, CHINA, AUSTRALIA, and I love them all but I had a particularly good time in JAPAN, USA, HOLLAND AND AUSTRALIA.
#40	まだ行ったことない国で休みに行きたいと思っている国は？ Are there any Countries that you haven't visited yet that you would consider taking a vacation in?
Dan:	ロシアとニュージーランド・インドへ行ってみたい I would love to visit Russia and New Zealand and India.
#41	初めてアメリカ人がロンドンを訪れたとして、絶対見たほうがいいと思うもの一つ教えて？ As an American visiting London for the first time, what is the one thing I should absolutely see or do while I am there?
Dan:	カムデンマーケットはロンドンでとってもクールな経験ができるよ。テーﾄモダンアートギャラリーもオススメだな。とってもファンタスティックなビルディングなんだ。 Camden Market is a very cool London experience and I would also recommend the Tate Modern Art Gallery - a fantastic building.
#42	どうしてDemelzaHouseに訪れて、支援するようになったの？他に寄付しているところはある？もしそうなら何があなたをそうさせているの？ How did you become involved in visiting and supporting the Demelza House? Are there any other charities that you support? If so, what inspires you to support these wonderful causes?
Dan:	ハリーポッターのキャストになってから支援をするところを探していたんだ。DemelzaHouseを見つけたとき、こここそが僕がいたいと思う場所だったんだ。この場所の精神はとてもすばらしいしここで働いている人たちもすばらしいんだ。そこを訪れたとき自分がとてもみじめに思えたよ。 It was a place I became aware of, as I was actively looking to support a charity or organisation after I was cast in Harry Potter. When I discovered Demelza House, there was no doubt that this was the place I wanted to be involved with. The spirit of the place is amazing and the people who work there are extraordinary. I feel very humble when I visit it.
#43	あなたはとても寛大で、何か人にあげるのが好きなように見えるけど、発展途上国のようなところへ行って、飢えている人を助けたり家を建てたり、食べ物を持ってきたり、教育したいと思ったことはある？ You seem like a generous and giving person. Have you ever considered going to poor countries where the people are starving and help them build homes, bring them food and education?
Dan:	そんなことを言ってくれるなんてうれしいな。海外に行くことだけがは今できることじゃないけれど年をとったらいつかね。 Very kind of you to say something like that. Going overseas is not something I can do at the moment but perhaps in the future when I am older.
#44	MindReading DVDに参加しようと思ったのはなぜ？自閉症に興味を持ったのはどうして？ What made you decide to get involved with the "Mind Reading DVD" production, and what triggered your interest in Autism?
Dan:	ハリーポッターの1作目の衣装さんの中の一人が僕に自閉症のことについてたくさん教えてくれたんだ。彼に自閉症の子供がいるからで、それがひきがねになったんだ。いくつかのインタビューでも言ったけど MindReading DVDを製作している人たちが尋ねてきたので飛びあがって参加したんだ。 On the first Harry Potter film, one of the crew working in the wardrobe department explained a lot to me about autism, as he has an autistic son and that triggered my interest. As I had mentioned this in several interviews, the people who produced the Mind Reading DVD asked me, would I like to take part and I jumped at the chance to be involved with it.
#45	たくさんの才能ある役者たちがアニメの声優をやっているけど、宮崎駿のような監督の下でやりたいと思ったことは？ A lot of talented actors now are doing narration work in feature-length cartoons. Have you ever thought of narrating, especially for filmmakers like Hayao Miyazaki?
Dan:	あるよ。喜んでやるよ Yes, I would gladly do a voice in an animated film.
#46	あなたを3文字であらわすと？ How would you describe yourself in three words?
Dan:	忠実・好奇心旺盛・面白い Loyal, curious, fun.
#47	もし悲しかったり落ち込んでいるとき、気分をよくさせるものは？ When you are sad or depressed, what helps to make you feel better?
Dan:	シンプソンズを見るとたまによくなるんだ Watching an episode of the Simpsons usually makes me feel better.
#48	どこか行くとき友達と行ける？それともファンの群れができるからボディーガードと行くの？ Are you actually able to go places on your own with friends or do you have to go with a bodyguard because you get mobbed by fans?
Dan:	僕が護衛なしででかけられないっていう憶測があるみたいだけど、本当じゃないよ。最近TheStrokesのコンサートをアレクサンドリア宮殿に見に行ったけど、護衛も、ボディーガードもなかったよ。友達と行ったけど全然兵器だったよ。他にもレイセスタースクェアにロードオブザリングのプレミアを見に行ったけど、たくさんの人で誰も僕に気づかなかったんだ。みんなが思っているよりたくさんんのことができるよ。（エマちゃんは気づかなかったのでしょうかbyako) There is an assumption that I can't go anywhere without protection and that is simply not true. I recently went to see The Strokes in concert at Alexandra Palace. - no security, no bodyguards - just with friends and it was absolutely fine. Likewise, I went to see a preview of Lord of the Rings in Leicester Square, which is one of the biggest cinemas in the country. It was packed and again no one recognised me. I do more things than people think I can.
#49	両親がやれって言うことで嫌いなことは？例えばゴミ捨てをしなきゃいけないとか。 What is the one thing your parents still make you do that you absolutely hate? For instance, even though you're in perhaps the largest grossing movie franchise of all time, do you still have to take out the garbage?
Dan:	部屋をきれいにしなさいってこと。汚いと二人とも怒るんだ。 Tidy my room - it drives them mad when it's a mess.
#50	もし5年前と5年後の自分に手紙を書くとしたらなんて書く？ Dan, if you could write yourself two letters and send one to yourself five years ago and one to yourself five years from now, what would you say?
Dan:	5年前に書く手紙は、9歳のとき、学校で当時僕に対してひどい先生のこと。自分自身に彼を無視するんだって聞かせるね、彼の卑しい一言一言に左右されず、もっと自分に自身を持てってね。5年後に書くならもっと難しいな。僕が何しているか誰も分からないんだ。自分自身に誠実で、キャリアまた自分自身の人生に対して正しい選択をしていることを祈るよ。 The letter I would write to myself 5 years ago, when I was nine, would be concerning a teacher in my school who was horrible to me at that time. I would tell myself to ignore him, don't rise to his petty comments and to have more confidence in myself, even though this teacher is trying to drain me of it. The letter I would write to myself 5 years from now is more difficult. Who knows what I will be doing. It would probably concern being true to myself and hoping that I make the right decisions both in my career and my personal life.
#51	自分の好きな点・嫌いな点を３つ。 What are three things you like best about yourself? Three worst?
Dan:	好きな点は、 1:自分の音楽の趣味が好きなこと 2:自分の人生を楽しんでいること 3:自分にユーモアのセンスがあって、どんな場面でも面白い一面を見つけ出すことができること。嫌いな点は 1:絵が下手なこと絵を描くのは好きなんだけど 2:音楽が好きな一方、意見をくだしてしまうこと。それはよくないと思うんだ 3:メールの返信が遅いこと、友達を怒らせてしまうんだ The things I like best about myself at the moment are 1. I like my taste in music,2. I enjoy my life 3. I think I have a good sense of humour and can always see the funny side of any situation. The things I don't like are 1. I am terrible at art and would love to be able to paint. 2. While I love my music, I can also be very opinionated about it, which isn't good and 3. I don't reply to my emails fast enough which drives my friends mad
#52	一つ自分を変えられるならどうする？理由は？ If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be and why?
Dan:	絵が描けるようになりたいな。鮮明なイメージで自分が描きたいものが頭にあるんだけど、運が悪いことに、それを形にすると使えないんだ!!!!!! I would love to be able to paint. I have very clear images in my head of what I want to paint but unfortunately, when it comes to getting them down they are absolutely useless!!!!!!!!!!
#53	誰にもでもなりたいものや、知りたいこと、経験したいことがあると思うけれど、正直に誠実に答えてね、あなたの人生の中で一番大きな疑問で答えて欲しいこと、またはため息をついて、「やっと幸せだ、もう何もいらないよ」と言える様な夢はなんですか？ Everybody dreams of something they yearn for, want to know, or experience. So, honestly and sincerely, what is that BIG question in your life that you want answered, or that DREAM you want fulfilled would make you sigh and say 'I finally feel happy and content; I'll need no more, no less'?
Dan:	難しい質問だね！！！エベレストに上ってみたいな。挑戦してみたいんだ。それが満足できることかはわからないけどね・・・他の違うことに挑戦してみたいと思うかもしれないし。 That's a big question!!!!!!!!I would love to go on a mountain expedition to say, Everest and make an attempt at that. I would like the challenge. I'm not sure if that would make me content - who knows - it might make me restless to take on more challenges!!!!!

Dan:	黄色と青 Yellow and Blue
#55	どんな女の子が好き？例えば面白い・頭がいい・かわいい・賢い・ミステリアスなど。 What characteristics do you like when it comes to girls? i.e. funny, smart, pretty, clever, mysterious?
Dan:	面白くて、頭がよくて独創的な子 Funny, smart and original
#56	何か怖いものはある？例えばくもとか。 Is there anything you're particularly scared of, for instance spiders?
Dan:	蜘蛛は怖くないよでも、核戦争のことを考えると怖い Spiders don't frighten me but the thought of nuclear war does!!!!!!!!!

Dan:	マルコポーロかな。彼の最後の言葉が確か、「自分が見た半分しか伝えていない」だったからもう半分を聞きたいんだ It would have to be Marco Polo. Apparently his last words were "I have not told half of what I saw". So, I would love to hear about the other half .

Dan:	よい映画であればジャンルはこだわらないよ。 As long as it is a good film -I don't care what genre it is.
#59	料理はしないの？もしするなら何を作るのが好き？ Do you cook at all, and if so, what things do you like to cook?
Dan:	家ではやらないんだ。撮影が終わっても、深夜まで家に帰らないし、だからする時間がないけれど、これが僕の 2004年の抱負なんだ No, I don't cook at home. After filming I don't get back home till very late, so there is no time for me to experiment with this. However, it is my New Year' s resolution to learn.

Dan:	僕が尊敬する俳優が僕を演じることに興味があると考えるのは傲慢だと思う I feel it would be arrogant to think that any actor I admire would be interested in playing me.

Dan:	いつも僕がハリーポッターを演じていると言うよ。だって意味がないし嘘をつくことはよくないから。 I always tell them that I am the actor who plays HP as it seems completely pointless and not very nice to lie to them.

Dan:	自分に最も影響を与えた人たちは、彼らがそうだと知っているしここで言ったら恥ずかしがると思う The people who have been most influential on me know who they are and would be embarrassed if I mentioned them.
#63	世界中の子役志願者たちにアドバイスをあげあれるとしたら？ What do you feel is the most important advice you can give to aspiring young actors and actresses around the world?
Dan:	一人一人が違うからこの種のアドバイスはややこしいんだ。真実味があっておおげさな演技を絶対にしない俳優たちといるから、これが僕のアドバイスかな、常に現実的に、誠実に Giving this sort of advice is tricky because it is different for each person. I respond to actors who are totally real and never overact, so in a way that would be my advice - Be real - be truthful.
#64	撮影中どうやって成績をあげる時間を見て受けるの？働いているときは難しくない？ How do you find time to study and keep your school grades up while you are filming, and is it difficult to do while working?
Dan:	僕はたいてい3-5時間勉強するんだ。一対一でね、学校からもサポートが届いて、僕の成績はあるべきところにあるんだ。この方法は誰にでもできることじゃないけど、僕には丁度いいんだ I do a minimum of three hours a day with a maximum of 5. It is one to one tutoring and with the support I receive from my school, my grades are where they should be. This method of working may not suit everyone but it certainly works, so far, for me.

Dan:	ロードオブザリングは大好き。最終章も先週見たし、とっても楽しんだよ。もしできるならゴラムがいいなぁ。 I do like LOTR - I saw the final film last week and really enjoyed it. The character I would like to play is GOLLUM.

Dan:	どこへ行っても路上で生活している人を見るといつも気が重くなるよ I am always upset wherever I go in the world to see people living on the streets.
#67	外国語は話せる？もし習えるならどの言葉を学びたい？ Can you speak any foreign languages? What languages would you like to learn?
Dan:	今フランス語とスペイン語を習っているよ。日本語も学びたいな I am learning to speak French and Spanish and I would like to learn to speak Japanese.
#68	シェイクスピアは好きですか？シェークスピアの舞台に出ようと思ったことは？ Do you like Shakespeare and have you ever thought that you might like to act in a Shakespearean production?
Dan:	シェイクスピアは好きだよ。いくつか劇は見たよ。真夏の夜の夢のパックをやってみたいな。テストのために今マクベスについても勉強しているんだ I love Shakespeare. I have seen several productions and would love to play Puck in A Midsummer Nights Dream. I am also studying Macbeth for my exams.
#69	映画の撮影セットと舞台どっちが心地よい？ Is it more comfortable for you to act on a film set, or on stage?
Dan:	ステージは生だからもっとざわめきなどがあると思うんだ。でも映画撮影の段階は好きだよ。2つの段階は違うけれど両方とも心地いいものだよ I suppose you get more of a buzz being on stage because it is a live experience but I love the film making process. The two processes are so different but I feel comfortable with them both
#70	なんでThe Play what I wroteにでようと思ったの？ステージで演じるのはどうだった？また将来もっと劇に出てみたいと思った？ How did you get involved with the "Play What I Wrote" production? What was it like to perform on stage, and did this experience inspire you to want to do more theatre productions in the future?
Dan:	ハリーポッター２で一緒だったケネスブラナー（ケン　ブラナー）と一緒に仕事してみないかってプロデューサーに聞かれたんだ。ケンはその劇を指揮していて、僕はそのチャンスに飛び乗ったんだ。本当に楽しかったよ。今まで劇に出たことはなかったから最初はちょっと怖かったけど、でももっと劇に出てみたいっておもうようにんったんだ。 I was asked by the Producers if I would be interested in taking part and as I had just worked with Ken Branagh on HP2, and Ken directed THE PLAY WHAT I WROTE, I jumped at the chance. It was great fun. I had never been on stage before so it was a little scary at first but it certainly gave me the desire to do more on stage.

Dan:	一番重要なことは集中することなんだよ、何回やらなければいけないとか他の人の言葉を聞かなければいけないとかではなく、言っていることに対してまるで初めて聞いたように応対すること。僕は準備をしているときは音楽を聞いているよ The most important thing is to focus on the scene, no matter how many times you have to do it and listen to the other actors and respond as if it is the first time you have ever heard what they are saying to you and it is the first time you have responded to them. I also play a lot of music when I am preparing a scene.
#72	プロモーションの写真を見ると、メイクさんがたくさんの表情を与えているように見えるけど、スタジオショットのために個人的な意見をどれくらい言う？ After looking at so many promotional photos of you, one can see that makeup artists and stylists have given you many different "looks". How much say do you personally have over how they make you look for studio shots?
Dan:	たくさん言うよ。気に入らないときはその通り言うし。僕は心地悪いことをただ立って、衣装を着て、こなすだけじゃないんだ。 Yes, I have a big say in all of this. If I don't like the look of something I will obviously say so. I won't just stand there wearing clothes or do something I am not comfortable with.
#73	たくさんの国のプレスからたくさんのインタビューをうけるのはどんな感じ？ What is it like to publicly appear for press and interviews in so many various countries in rapid succession? Are there aspects of the experience that are challenging for you and what would you change?
Dan:	何も変わったことはないよ。楽しいんだ。終わったあとしばらくは疲れるけど、やっているときは笑いがあるし、もちろん。他の国を見ることは好きだよ I wouldn't actually change anything because they are a lot of fun. It gets tiring after a while but we do have a laugh when we're doing it and of course, I like getting to see the countries.
#74	俳優になってから５年がたったけど、もし映画に出れるとしたらどのジャンル？理由は？ Fast forward 5 years from now... assuming that you wish to remain an actor, if you were given the choice to play the lead in a romance, drama, comedy, action/adventure, horror, or sci-fi/fantasy film, which would you choose and why?
Dan:	すばらしい脚本と、監督のジャンルを選ぶよ I would choose the one with the best script and best director irrespective of genre.
#75	ハリーポッターのオーディションでは何をしたの？ What did you do for your audition for Harry Potter? Cold reading? Impromptu? Did you read with another actor or by yourself?
Dan:	最初のオーディションでは、クリスコロンバスと台本を読んで、最後の面接ではエマ・ルパートと読んだんだ、とっても楽しかったよ。それが僕たちが会った最初だよ For the first two auditions I read with Chris Columbus and then for the last interview I read with Emma and Rupert, which was a lot of fun, as it was the first time we had met.
#76	演技をしていて最も難しいことは？存在しない何かに向かって反応すること？それとも感情を表に出すこと？例えば怒り、悲しみ、または泣く事？ What is more difficult to do while acting, to react to something that isn't there (i.e. Dobby), or exhibit emotion such as anger, sadness, even crying?
Dan:	それぞれに難しさはあるよ。ドビーとの演技はとても技術的なことなんだ、視線を焦点にあわせたり、常に正確さを求められるんだ。感情を表現するとき、内にある感情を出せば現実的で真実味があるものになるんだ。 Both have their own difficulties because acting with Dobby is a very technical business, focusing on eye lines and you have to be very precise at all times. When you are expressing emotions, you have to find those emotions within yourself and be totally real and truthful.
#77	公衆の目をあびて、まじめな質問をされたり、たくさんの難しいことをしたりすると、早く大人になりたいと思う？ Has being in the "public" eye, being asked many serious questions, or dealing with difficult issues matured you as a person a bit sooner than you would have expected?
Dan:	そうは思わないよ。たぶん多くの時間をセットで大人たちと過ごしているからそれが僕をちょっと大人にしたかな、でもそんなこと今まで思ったことないよだって、僕はまだ子供だし I don't think so. Perhaps being on the set for so long with adults has made me grow up a bit faster but I've never really thought about it, because I'm still a kid deep down.
#78	もしこのまま俳優を続けたとき議論の的になりそうな役またはドラマチックな役、例えばホモのキャラクターなどやりたいと思う？ If you continue with the acting profession, would you consider ever taking on a controversial or dramatic role? This could be a homosexual character (like Tom Hanks in Philadelphia), or something like a serial killer (Anthony Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs). Or if you become a filmmaker, would you ever consider making a film that could be construed as controversial?
Dan:	脚本がよくて、いい監督がいればどんな役だってやるよ。 I would consider doing any part as long as the script is good and the film has an interesting director.
#79	スタジオとロケではどっちが好き？ Do you like filming at the studio or on location better?
Dan:	スタジオのときのほうが好きだな、家へ帰って、自分自身のことができるし。 I prefer filming at the studio because I like to get home every night and have my own things around me.
#80	もし映画の監督できるなら、どんな映画の監督をしますか？またどんな方法を用いて監修しますか？ If you could direct a movie, what type of movie would you like to direct (i.e. Fantasy, Drama, Horror) and what method would you use in your direction?
Dan:	何度も言うけど、脚本がよければなんでもやるよ。ホラーには興味がないな、興味をそそられないんだ。僕はMikeLeighの映画の大ファンなんだ、彼の方法が好きなんだ。彼は俳優の細かい部分までこだわるから、たぶん僕はその方法を採用するよ。〔リンクはｇｏｏ） Again, I would direct any film as long as the script was good. I suppose I'm not really into horror - just don't find it interesting. I'm a huge fan of Mike Leigh films and I really like the way , I hear, he works with actors -very detailed so perhaps that would be the method I would employ.

Dan:	アクシデントなんだ。友達が提案したんだ、ただ楽しむだけに、David Coperfieldのね。本当にその役がもらえるなんて思ってもみなかったよ。だって何百もの男の子がその役を得ようといたからね、だからもらえたときは本当に驚きだったよ。 By accident. A friend suggested that I audition, as a bit of fun, for the role of David Copperfield. I never expected to actually get the part as I knew there would be hundreds of boys trying for it, so when I did, it came as a huge surprise.
#82	演じているとき何が一番大変？セリフを覚えること？ What is the most difficult part of acting; remembering lines, doing emotional scenes, or doing physical scenes?
Dan:	セリフを覚えるのはそんなに難しくないんだ。感情を何回も何回も演じることは大変だけど、やりがいはあるよ。体を張るシーンはとても疲れるけど、スタントを練習する時間がたくさんあるからね。 Remembering the lines is not difficult. I suppose recreating the emotions over and over again can be very intense but challenging. Doing physical scenes can be punishing but I usually have a lot of time to practice the stunt.
#83	俳優として、ファン・メディア・または自分自身に対してプレッシャーを感じることは？スポットライトをあびることは平気？ As an actor, do you ever feel any pressure by your fans, the media, or even from within yourself? Are you fine with the spotlight or sometimes does the intrusion go a bit too far?
Dan:	唯一のプレッシャーは自分自身。そのキャラクターを最善をつくして演じること。メディアに関しては、自分に対してなんて書いているのか今現在読んだことないし、ＴＶに出た自分自身のインタビューも見たことないんだ The only real pressure I feel is the one I put on myself, trying to portray the character as best I can. With regards to the media - to this day I have never ever read a word that has been printed about me or the films - and I never ever watch intereviews I have given on television.
#84	有名であることの利点と悪い点は？ What are the advantages and disadvantages of being famous?
Dan:	利点はたくさんすばらしい人と会えたこと、またすばらしい土地を訪れることができたことかな。例えば万里の長城、シドニーハーバーブリッジ〔上ったよ）悪い点は、場所によって人々がサインをもらうために強引になること。去年一回事故があったんだ。僕とエマがシカゴに着いたとき僕たちの面倒を見てくれる人がサインを欲しがっている人々にけられて押しのけられたんだ。〔彼らはファンでなくプロのサインハンターだと思う）とても醜いよ。僕たちはいつでもできるかぎりサインをするけど、でもたまにね・・・ The advantages are that I have met a lot of very interesting people and visited extraordinary places - e.g the Great Wall of China, Sydney Harbour Bridge (I did the climb!!!!) Disadvantages - occasionally people become very aggressive in order to get autographs. There was one incident, last year, when Emma and I arrived in Chicago and the people who were looking after us were kicked and shoved by guys (they weren't fans but professional autograph hunters) who wanted autographs - it was very ugly. We always try to sign for fans whenever possible but sometimes it just isn't….

Dan:	ジェイクギレンホール・レイフ・ファインズ・スカーレットジョンソン・ビリーボブソーントン・ジョージクルーニー・サム　ロックウェルと仕事をしたいな。レイフ・ファインズ・ジョージクルーニー・ジェフリーラシュとロバートカーライルにハリーポッターキャストとしてきて欲しいな I would love to work with Jake Gyllenhall, Ralph Fiennes, Scarlett Johannson, Billy Bob Thornton George Clooney, Sam Rockwell. I would love to see Ralph Fiennes, Geoffrey Rush and Robert Carlyle cast in the Potter movies.

Dan:	うん、でも残念なことにスケジュールと決してあわないんだ。 Yes, but unfortunately there is never enough time to fit it in with the filming schedule.
#87	１０年もしたら、すばらしいジェームズボンドを演じられると思う。ジェームズボンドの役をやりたいと思ったことはある？ You would make an excellent James Bond in about 10 years. Have you considered possibly pursuing a role as James Bond if one should come your way?
Dan:	１０年語だったらとっても若いジェームズボンドだね。僕は自分自身をピアースブロスナンのように日と当たりよくて洗練された人間だと考えたことはないな In ten years that would make me a very young James Bond! I could never see myself being as suave or as sophisticated as Pierce Brosnan.
#88	自分の映画を見るとき、我を忘れて映画を見ますか？それとも自分自身を意識して批判的になる？ When you watch yourself on screen do you loose yourself in the movie, or are you self conscious and critical of yourself?
Dan:	自分を見ることは好きじゃないんだ。いつも最終的にその映画がどうなるか興味があるけど、自己批評はコントロールするんだ。我を忘れて他の人の演技にのめりこむけどね。映画はだいたい４回見るんだ。一回は個人的に、そして友達に見せて、あとの２回はプレミアかな。でもそれ以降は見ないんだ。 I hate watching my self. I am always intrigued as to how the final film looks so I manage to control my self criticism and lose myself in other peoples performances. I see the film about four times. Once privately, then we have a private screening for my friends, then at the two premieres and that is it. I never ever watch them again.

Dan:	大体３０分。主に傷 About 30 minutes - mainly because of the scar
#90	個人的にメディア・写真・雑誌の記事などを抑制したりしたことはある？ Do you personally have, or want to have, any control over the way you are presented in the media - photographs, magazine articles, TV interviews, newspaper reports etc.?
Dan:	僕に抑制する力なんてないよ。前に言ったけど、自分自身について書いた記事などは１単語も読んだことがないんだ。 I have no control over the way I am presented in the media. As I have said, to this day, I have never read a word that has been printed about me so I have no idea what anyone has written about me.
#91	あなたの意見ではどの俳優が歴史的な俳優だと思う？その俳優はそのために何をしなければいけないと思いますか？ What in your opinion do you think it means to be a great/legendary actor? What must an actor do to be worthy of this classification?
Dan:	その俳優は数え切れないくらいの体現をして、興味深い仕事をしなければいけないと思う I think the actor must have done a huge body of diverse and interesting work.
#92	ＰＯＡ撮影中に何かいたずらした？または誰かにいたずらされた？ Have you played any pranks on anyone during the filming of POA? Did anyone play a prank on you?
Dan:	ＰＯＡ撮影中にアルフォンソ〔監督）とアランリックマンがＷｏｏＰｅｅクッションを大広間の僕の寝袋に仕掛けたんだ。僕が動くと、鳴るんだ。そのシーンはとても静かなものだったから、創造つくと思うけどその音を聞いたみんながどれだけヒステリックな笑いになったかね During POA Alfonso and Alan Rickman put a whoopee cushion in my sleeping bag in the Great Hall and when I started to move it went off. The scene was a very quiet one so you can imagine the hysteria which took place once everyone heard it.
#93	ハリーポッターの映画を見て、ダン・エマ・ルパートをキャラクターと結びつけずに読めなくなってしまいました。本を読むとき自分自身がハリーを演じることを想像して読みますか？ After watching the Harry Potter movies, I can no longer read the books without associating you, Rupert, and Emma as the characters. When you read the books, do you actually imagine yourself as Harry in the books?
Dan:	そうだね。そう読まないほうが難しいかな Yes, it is quite difficult not to.
#94	ＧＯＦのときのハリーの年とあなたが同じ年だと考えて聞きたいのだけど、ＧＯＦの時の墓場のシーンで、どのように感情を表現するか準備しますか？ I would like to ask, considering you are the age that Harry is in The Goblet of Fire, how will you prepare for the emotionally charged graveyard scene at the end?
Dan:	まだ分からないよ。まだ台本も見てないし、そのマイク・ニューエルとも話していないからねNo idea as I haven't seen a script or talked to Mike Newell about that specific scene.
#95	もし何かセットから小物をもらえるとしたら、何を選ぶ？杖？箒？剣？ If you could keep any Prop on the Harry Potter set, which would you choose? Wand, Broom, Sword or other?
Dan:	剣をもらうね。 It would have to be the sword.
#96	もしハリーポッターのほかの役をもらえるとしたら？理由は？ If you could choose to play any other character role in the Harry Potter films, whose character would you choose and why?
Dan:	たぶんシリウスかな。ハリーとハリーの父（ジェームズ）との関係に興味があるんだ。 Probably Sirius, as I am intrigued about the relationship he has with Harry and his father.

Dan:	もちろんキッチンペーパー Without a doubt - kitchen roll!!!!!
#98	５巻（ＯＯＴＰ）についてどう思う？好きな部分は？ What did you think of the 5th Harry Potter book? What was your favorite part?
Dan:	大好きだよ。たくさん面白い部分はあるしね。〔以下ちょっとネタバレ。反転して読んでね）ハリーとアンブリッジの罰則のシーンは特に暗いね I loved it. There are lots of interesting parts but I thought the detention scenes between Harry and Professor Umbridge were particularly dark.
#99	ＰＯＡの撮影中起きたで一番面白い話は？ Are there any funny stories you can tell us about that occurred on set during the current film?
Dan:	面白いことはいつも撮影中起こっているんだ。でもいつもと違うとしたら、誕生日がくると誰にでもアルフォンソ(監督)はハッピーバースデーソングを英語で歌うと思っていたんだ。でもアルフォンソと彼のメキシコ人の同僚がスペイン語で歌ったんだ。自分たちの誕生日なんて誰も知らないと思っている人たちにもね、最高の誕生日のもてなしをしたんだ。 There are always funny things happening on the set but I suppose on this film the one thing that was different, was whenever anyone had a birthday Alfonso made sure that everyone sang Happy Birthday to the person in English and then Alfonso and his Mexican colleagues would sing it in Spanish. Even people who thought that no-one knew it was their birthday and were trying to escape unnoticed, were always found out and had the full birthday treatment.!!!

Dan:	うん。それに適うときはできたよ。いくつかのシーンではアルフォンソ〔監督）が激励してくれたんだ。 Yes, we are when it is appropriate. There are certain scenes when a bit of "ad libbing" is useful and Alfonso enouraged that.
