The memorial live tour for Roland Hanna who died on November 13, 2002
at the age of seventy. Inviting his son, Michael, to Japan,
we carried out the tour of six concerts during June 25 - 30, 2003.
We performed, centred on the music I had ever played with Roland & his
original tunes. Michael's singing......the stunning voice he had.

Left;Walking around the Shiba park, Sojyoji temple and Tokyo Tower.

Right:He was pretty moved by the view from the top
    observation deck of Tokyo Tower......!

Left;At Sojyoji temple, we prayed for Roland Hanna,
a success of the tour, and our health.

Right: How crazy Michael is about Soba (buckwheat noodles) !
He had it 6 times during this tour.

June 25: "Cygnus"Ginza, Tokyo
The almost full audience seemed to be completely caught
up in Michael's singing.

In this memorial tour, Michael sang by writing the words to my originals;
"Before Sunrise" & "Prologue."According to him,
Roland did not only compose but also wrote poems.....
"Season" sung enthusiastically by Sarah Vaughan was written and
composed by Roland, and he also drew pictures in his spare time.....
"His paintings were superb," Michael said.
Roland was excellent all in piano, cello, composition, poems and paintings.......
I can tell you that his music certainly reflects everything. Great !

When it was almost time to return home from Narita Airport on July 2
after the smooth tour of 6 places, Michael turned to me and said,
"Eiji, I want to eat Soba one more time."
Huuum, Michael really loves it, don't you Michael ?

We are looking forward to seeing you again, Michael.
