On February 12, 2004, Mr. Greenwood visited east Garden of Imperial palace. It is a remain of old Edo castle built 400 years ago. Most of the wood construction was lost but stone foundation remained.

castle tower was built in 1607 and further modified until 1638. The height reached 58 m from the ground level. But it was burned down in 1657. It was never rebuilt.
