Mr. Greenwood visited Doromiti Alps for attending international workshop on Hybrid Solar Systems to be held in Rifugio Passo Sella from 20 to 24 of September 2005.

He flew to Franz Josef Strauss of Munich via LH715. He moved to Munich Hbf via S-Bahn. He stayed in Hotel Einhorn. (International Hotels No.319)

He left Munich with Die Bahn at 09:32 and arrived Bresssanone FS at 13:05. He changed to SII bus and arrived Selva Wolkenstein at 15:00.

Finally, he arrived Rifugio Passo Sella with taxi at 15:30. It was a long trip.(International Hotels No.320)

22 Participants attended the meeting. Among them are Prof Blasi Paolo of University of Florence, Prof. Zulim of University of Split. Former Prof. Morinaga of University of Munich.

In the afternoon, Messes. Yamamuro, Seki Nozaki and Greenwood made a picnic to Passo Sella.

After lunch, they climbed a small hill called Col de la Pica. From the hill top, they enjoyed splendid view of Sellaturme (2,696m), Sass Pordoi (2,239m), Marmolada (3,343m), and Sassolungo (3,181m).

During the stay, the weather was fine and Sassolungo always stood firmly behind Rifugio Passo Sella.

Ms. Tatjana helped to find alternative route to go to Split but finally, Ms. Daniela Cappadozzi, the manager of the hut nicely arranged a ticket to fly from Innsbruck to Split via Wien.

In the afternoon, Dr. Wegmann kindly invited Mr. Greenwood for driving around Gruppo Sella Gruppe in his fancy car, Aston Martin. Long time ago, he changed his car from Maserati to Aston Martin.

They made a round trip anticlockwise. They stopped at Arabba and took lunch. Then they passed Passo di Compolongo, Corvara, Passo Gardena and returned Rifugio Passo Sella.

Dr. Wegmann kindly offered a ride to Innsbruck on his return trip to Munich. It was an exiting ride as he tried to take maximum power out of his machine.

After passing Brennerpass, he showed ruin of ancient Roman road near Innsbruck.

They took a tea and rest in Herzog-Friedrich-Strasse just in front of Hotel Goldener Adler.(International Hotels No.321) Then he continued his remaining trip to Munich.

September 24
The flight from Innsbruck to Wien was by small plain called Dash-8.

Mr. Greenwood never visited Wien. But this time, he had a chance of seeing Wien from above. It seemed that Wien developed with River Donau flowing towards, Hungarian plane.
He changed to Croatian Air and arrived Split airport. There is a big change of vegetation. He moved to Hotel Concordia by taxi. (International Hotels No.322) The hotel was situated at the water front near Kamerlengo fortress in Trogir.

Trogir was founded by the Doric Greeks from Syracuse in 3rd c. BC. Now a tourist attracting spot and registered as world heritage by UNESCO.

September 25
Prof. Zulim guided Mr. Greenwood in the narrow street of Trogir and introduced his friends who regularly meet in cafe every Sunday morning. Among them, there was a chief of tourist office who brought Mr. Greenwood to his office and gave him a Guide book of Trogir. Then all friends moved to a hotel called Tragos which is operated by one of friends. (International Hotels No.327) The hotel looks suitable for family trip. Most beautiful building in Trogir was a primary school where Prof. Zulim and his friend learned.

Mr. Jurisic Metod joined while all friend were taking beer at the top of St. Mark's fort.

Prof. Zulim gave Mr. Greenwood a T-shirts having a print "Darumacija Tu su moji didovi sidro bacili (My grandfather once anchored here)
Then they moved to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Split. with Mr. Jurisic's BMW. Three of them visited office of Prof. Zulim. There, Mr. Greenwood saw amorphous solar cell once manufactured by Mr. Jurisic.

Then they moved to famous Dioclation palace build in 4th century.

After Dioclation palace, they visited country house of Mr. Mr. Jurisic. Mr. Jurisic is now running orchard and vineyard and brewing wine. It was his second business after closing facilities manufacturing solar cells. A wine bottled in 1999 was added to Mr. Greenwood's souvenir.
September 26
Mr. Greenwood left Split early morning and arrived Franz Josef Strauss, Munich by Croatian Airline OU4436. He changed to LH714.
September 27
Arrived Narita 10:00.
