In the last week of August, 2004, Ishihara Riders Group made a second touring in Hokkaido. The first touring was conducted in September 2001.
This time, they visited mainly northern part of Hokkaido whereas they visited southern part of Hokkaido in the first trip. Mr. Greenwood run 2,434km this time because he used ferry from Sendai.

First Day
He departed his home at 8:45 and run 468km to reach Sendai Ferry Terminal in 18:00.
Second Day
The ferry arrived Tomakomai Port at 10:45. They used motor way to Sapporo and since then they used ordinary road. They moved up to north along west coat of Hokkaido. Mr. Greenwood reminded his trip from Land's End to St. Ives because of the similarities of terrain.
After running 211km, they had arrived at Rumoi after sun set.
Third Day
They started Rumoi at 9:30 and had a rest at Obira where once it was a center of fishing of herring. Mr. Greenwood visited this place when he visited Rishiri and Rebun Island.

There are many wind farms in this coast line.

They have run Sarobatsu plain towards Wakkanai.

After running 225km, they arrive at Wakkanai.
Forth Day
They have started Wakkani at 8:30 and headed towards Soya Point. Soya Point is the northern most point of Japan.

They visited Lake Kucharo.

Then they arrived at Lake Saroma.

After running 360km, they have finally arrived at Abashiri where they are going to stay over night.
Fifth Day
They departed Abashiri at 9:00 and after passing Bihoro Pass they finally reached Obihiro. They have run 280km in this day.

Sixth Day
They have passed through Frano and arrived Sapporo. They have run 346km in this day.

Seventh Day
In the morning, all members made a site seeing in Sapporo. They took a route through forest around Lake Shikotsu to go to Tomakomai Port.

Eighth Day
They arrived Sendai Port at 9:20. It was 464km from Sendai to Mr. Greenwood home.
