NUMERICAL SPACE / ODDSPHERE

    I cut off the upper half and used transparency 0.5-0.6 to see the inside of the object. Of cource I aimed to show this beauty. You can see many openings inside or the colored section variously based on the field strength.

    We can make another shapes from the same data with modifying the array of the data. I changed from ["lpodcut.dat", <3,3,3,0>] to ["lpodcut.dat", <1,3,4,0>] and got this metamorphosed shape.

    We can get multiplied object from one odd-sphere function with using big value as the data. In this work I used this data.

      -50.5
      0
      50.8
      -5.1

    I cut off the upper area and down area using [ bounded_by { box { <-25, -3, -25> <10, 0, 10> } } ] to pick up one layer of spheres.
    And additionary, I made a fun. I used [ accuracy 7.2 ]. The value is so big that spheres can't be figured. They changed to discs colored concentrically.

    I got this image with [ accuracy 0.05 ].
    The value of accuracy is not so small that the surface is not smooth, having many fine discontinuous lines. But the fine discontinuous lines give a sort of texture in the image.

    You may not be able to see the lines enough in this small image. Please see the large image file.

    I use this coloring ;
      #declare ISOCOL = pigment {
      function { D3DFUNC }
      color_map
      { [0.5, 0.01 color rgbt <0, 1, 0, 0.5>
      color rgbt <1, 1, 0, 0.5>]
      [1, 1.001 color rgbt <0,0,1, 0.7>
      color rgbt <1, 0, 0, 0.5>] }
      frequency .7 }

    From the location of [ camera ] many spheres are piled up and we can see a sight like a valley.

    I'm surprised with the rendered result from one function. There are so many intricated surfaces.

    I may say this odd sphere a micro cosmos metaphorically like the isosurface patched POV-Ray.
